Finally got to start season 2 and just finished episode 1 and 2. Holy hell was not expecting that. Kind of feel a bit lost in the show going forward without Joel but I’m sure it will be good.

That whole series of events leading up to the golf club in the neck is burnt in my brain right now!

A slow episode 3 to setup the next phase of the season. Feels like these setup episodes should drop two in a week. Can’t be having an episode like that right after the previous one really got going. Now I remember why I used to wait for the entire season was released before starting them.

I thought it was needed. Slowed down and let Joel’s death marinate. While still moving the story forward. You start moving things too fast and you get the last 2 seasons of GOT.

Great blend of action and story in the latest episode.

Being fairly unfamiliar with the game I do hope the showrunners go into some detail about the WLF vs. Scars war and why it started in the first place.

No posts on this week?! I loved it. That underground tunnel scene was ******* intense.
Really liked the opening scene too. And good episode. Just need a lot more backstory.

I thought the initial hookup between Deena and Ellie followed immediately by “we’re having a kid together” was kind of bizarre. Probably needed more development in there to help me believe they’re now a couple committed to raising a child.

I’m curious if they will as well. They went with the nobody probably remembers who really broke the truce first at this point.

I guess that's the good thing about them taking so long to get season 2 out. I figured I waited this long for season 2 that I might as well hold off a few more weeks and watch it all at once. Spoilers have never been a problem for me, if a story is good, so I'll start it when the whole season has dropped.

We are already over halfway done with this season now.
Does anyone know if this season is supposed to cover the entire second game like the first season did? There is still a lot to happen so I’m guessing they spread it out over multiple seasons.

No. They have said there will be two seasons to cover the second game.

At least 2. Probably 3.

I think we are pacing out to end this season right where most who played the game thought it would, at a particular scene in the theater

Now that Joel is dead, I'm not sure what else there is that will keep me watching. I find Abby and the other girl really forced and annoying. Joel was the one character and actor I really liked. Will see I guess, but if the young girls are the main characters from here I can't see me watching much longer.

Same. Wife and I just started the binge of Season 2 tonight and once we accepted Joel was dead, we both agreed there was no interest in watching Bella Ramsey and her poor acting the remainder of this series. On to something else.

I dont dislike Bella, I dont necessarily feel her for this role, but shes not awful. Ill keep watching because I love to see how these stories play out. I really like Tommy and hope to see more of him soon. But yes, I do miss Joel.

Seems like people that are into the games tend to like Ellie more than people watching without any knowledge of the games.

Reminds me a little of Game of Thrones when Ned died. Except there were a lot more characters and stories to invest in so people shifted quicker.
