I just want to say, 880+ posts didn't do any good. I am in favor of putting this issue to rest. I never hardly posted on here, because I didn't expect anything getting so much attention to turn out well.
Well, even if the thread closes, RV's name/this situation will be brought up, ad nauseum, in future threads about recruiting, etc. Exhibit A -- Harrison Barnes.
I did all I could to medal in this thread, but unfortunately, I was unable to finish with the top posts. I tried my best at derailing, throwing the top posters off, and even attacking cyclone prides kneecap, but that didn't stop him, and my fight to first was unsuccessful.

This notion falls flat because it most likely wasn't RV that made the decision to choose UNLV. Kaffey gets his hooks into RV (his meal ticket), Findlay makes Kaffey (now working as RV's agent) a deal he couldn't pass up, Kaffey gets paid and a gig as an assistant coach at Findlay's basketball factory (fake school), Kaffey then funnels money from Findlay to RV after taking his cut, and magically RV's agent (Kaffey) decides RV should play his college ball at UNLV... another program funded by Findlay.
It isn't hard to connect the dots here. The only real question is how involved was RV in the entire process? Did he let Kaffey handle all of the "business" side of this or did he help negotiate his own selling price?
90% of what you post is trolling. And in regards to the University of Texas comparisions I would argue that Iowa State has surpassed Texas on the basketball court if you look at the last three years.
I'm sure there are other factors, some above board and some below maybe, that influenced Vaughn however I think we are underestimating the fact that he is already in Vegas and only plans to be in college one year (see Anthony Bennett, also from Findlay Prep). Its just easier to stay there one more year.
Serious question - is Brewster viewed the same as Findlay? Or are there academics there? Just not sure if people would be bashing the school if he came here, or if it's actually just a "school"
UNLV has 4 final fours, a national championship, been to the dance 6 out of the last 7 years and sells more tickets than any Big 12 school besides Kansas.
More than Duke, too. Sick of UNLV fans acting like attendance is a selling point. Duke has less fans than ISU and Michigan State is about the same as us
