My prediction. One of two things is going to happen.

1. We get beat by 20
2. We win close

Right now, I just hope we are competitive. I've seen too much of what I saw last week. That game took me back to 2003 and until I see otherwise that's where I'm at.

This is exactly how I feel and right now I'm afraid my drive home on Saturday will be one of complete disappointment. I hope I'm wrong.

We won big after the Iowa loss last year. And we won after losing to Iowa in 2006. And we won after losing to Iowa in 2004.

Wrong.

Oh, and what was Danny Mac's record against Iowa his first 2 seasons? Wait for it, wait for it, .... 0-2. **** off, Bobby.

Daniel Thomas is going to go off for 200+ rushing yards and 3 scores but it won't be enough to win the game for the Pussycats.

Unfortunately I can't rep this due to the CF rep Nazis telling me to spread it around. Al is correct as usual. Funny how quickly people are getting critical of this staff and throwing out stupid comparisons. We lost to Iowa 2 years in a row.... big ******* deal. How many times have we beaten BCS Bowl caliber teams in the last decade? I don't think CPR or Mac had to give rah rah speeches after losses to Iowa to get this team fired up. My money says that CPR just told them like it is and it is as simple as this.... K-State is standing in between us and our goals for this season. Now lets go get the ******* job done.

I think the Clones come out ready to atone for last week, and win this one 31-21. We finally are able to use both the short passes and the running game to move the ball.

I have a bad feeling about this one. KSU has a very strong running game that is going to be a huge problem for us to stop. I see similar issues to the Iowa game here with long drives and trouble getting our D off the field, which could lead to fatigue in the second half. The second problem is our offense and their ability to stay on the field and score points. I know KSU isn't Iowa on D in this regard, but we have struggled on offense against any decent teams for years. I don't know that we can score enough to rest our D and keep up with the points KSU is going to put up.

I have an odd feeling the ISU holds Thomas at or under 150yds rushing. LJ, Sims and staff show up to help out the run defense and lock down on the receivers, and we are positive in the turnover column.

ISU 28 - 17.

Oh and Defense scores a touchdown. Am I drinking Koolaid or what?

I think we lose this one, by a pretty large margin. I'm thinking 24-10 KSU. I think I personally overrated the talent on the offensive line (losing Haughton was a lot bigger than I anticipated) and the defense, especially now that Tau'of'ou is out. Have you seen the depth chart for this week versus one of the best running backs in the country?

My biggest concern is the O-line. Thomas is going to get his yards, but their defense has not been impressive at all. Mo State dumped a ton of yards on them.

We win this game with A-Rob last year, and their D isn't any better. They're passing game is worse. Daniel Thomas has improved. However, our O-line took a HUGE step back, or at least it's looked that way. If they can't open the holes for A-Rob, and Arnaud doesn't run much, it could be tough.

Our running attack has been non-existent and we haven't gone downfield in the passing attack yet. I assume we intended to vs. Iowa, but we simply never had the chance due to their front four. I'm very concerned about the offense.

Our best defense is a good offense that has good sustained drives that result in points. We're just really young, inexperienced, and undersized right now on defense. If we can establish the run somehow and have a few successes going downfield, then we might squeek out a win. If we have multiple three and outs and/or turnovers by Arnaud, K-State will run up the score.

I think K-State's defense will be similar to Northern Illinois, probably even a bit better. We were able to sustain drives against Northern Illinois so we should be able to do that against K-State.

I think we'll win 24-21 in OT in the first scenario. If the offense can't sustain drives with three and outs or Arnaud pics, then we'll loose 28-14.

IS it just me or am I the only one that is not buying into the K-State hype? What is scaring people so much about K-State? Did they look all that impressive last week against Missouri State or even against a mediocre UCLA team in week 1?

Missouri State owned the time of possession, 1st downs, racked up 447 total yards of offense (166 on the ground), converted nearly 50% on 3rd downs, converted 100% on 4th down (2 for 2), and with the exception of a 45 yard run they held Daniel Thomas to 20 carries for 92 yards....

Hell.... Missouri State put up more yards on offense and converted a much higher percentage of 3rd downs against K-State then they did week 1 against Eastern Kentucky. I am not sure if any of you have seen UCLA yet this year but they look awful. Just saying.

This is a game that Iowa State can and more importantly should win.

I think it less about K-State being good and more about not knowing for sure how good Iowa State is.
