For the big games yes, but there is no denying there are a ton of empty seats in the balcony on the east side of Hilton for about 80% of the games. Butts in seats is still better than empty seats.
People aren't being turned away for those games. The butts that want to be at those games are there.

General complaint, but i dont understand why the only seats I ever see for sale on CF are generally the upper corners yet there are plenty of open seats in the lower level for many games. Do people here just have the worst seats or do the better seats just too lazy to sell them?

Lol probably both. Idk how many times family friends text me and say come sit down below with us we have extra tickets. Lowers I see online are outrageous.

I suppose. If that’s happening for the rest of seats that’s disappointing that there are so many people that just don’t show up for certain games and don’t bother to sell their ticket.

It's been a lot harder to sell tickets this year for non-Saturday games. As good as we are, it's a shame how little demand there has been for some games.

People will take my words here as a knock on Prohm, even though he's outstanding, but people don't like to admit that the huge draw and demand was Fred.

I think this is a large part of it. I also think where wins and losses happen to land make a difference, as well as the previous season/season expectations. I don't think many fans expected us to be this good, unfortunately.

We sat in the same area during the days of the mini-packs, and have had the same seats since they changed the corner balcony sections over to $99 season tickets. And to my knowledge, they still don't require a donation for them. We've donated for years because of football so someone else will need to back me up on that one...maybe @JP4CY ?
Section 239 for me is:
$25 service charge
$225 per seat
We give $200 to Cyclone Club. I thought minimum was maybe $100 for corner balconies?

I’d give more but I go to atleast 1 away football game, bowl games, usually go to B12 tourney, and I hit up some road b-ball games.

Our Sec 239 prices are the same. As for Cyclone Club, we've been slowly bumping up 10%; we're between Cardinal ($500) and Gold ($1000) now. I think we're going to go ahead & make the jump to Gold because we're planning on going back to season tickets in football as the mobile passes are now putting you in the ass-ends of Jack Trice. :( Hopefully the slightly higher donor level will enable us to get affordable seats with a decent view. But I'm not moving from 239 in Hilton...I like the people around us too much! :D

I would offer that there will not be a major reseating. However, an update on donor levels required to keep seats may be the first offered.

Just know it takes (in theory a minimum $5k donation to buy seats in the Parquet and there are many above that level in the balcony.

Price of success.

I got the seats I am in Fred's first year. It has not been reseated since then.

RESEATED just A FEW YRS BACK, parquet seats 2,500 went to 5,000 and 10,000 LEVEL WENT TO 12,500 ONLY 5,000 and 12,500 donations sit in parquet as 2,500 donors were kicked upstairs, without displacing anyone up there who were now required to donate 2,500 in certain sections to keep your seats. if you didn't donate 2,500, you were moved to the 1,000 donation sections

I had to increase my donation to now 2,500 to keep my front row seats. I have friends who donate 2,500 and were in the parquet before and are seated now in first row of a 1,000 section when the seats came available when another friend dropped out completely. Some people who came late to the donation game are donating 5,000 to 12,500 and are in the balcony, waiting for seats in the parquet to open up. It is ALWAYS A QUESTIONS OF MONEY DONATED ALWAYS

If we want to improve the student section, Cyclone Alley needs to do some serious research on what other top programs do. They don't just give great seats to students. They have great tradition and expectations.

Our student section is good, but not great this year, perhaps because there hasn't been any camping out or "high tension, buzzer-beater" games.

Lower bowl eligibilityEdit
The Izzone is split into two sections, the upper bowl, and the lower bowl of the Breslin Center. The lower bowl is more desired by students because of its location closest to the basketball court. In order for a student to qualify for the lower bowl, they must meet the following criteria:[1]

  • Students eligible to order student season basketball admission must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting program at MSU's East Lansing campus for both Fall and Spring semesters. Lifelong education students do not qualify as students enrolled in a degree granting program. College of Education students working towards their teaching certificate are allowed a one-year grace period (provided they are enrolled full-time).[1]
  • Students must have a high attendance record to the basketball games, arriving early to make check-in.[1]
  • First time ticket holders are automatically put in the upper bowl, and are reviewed for the coming season for lower bowl.[1]
  • Must attend the Izzone campout event, if not, must fill out an excuse form with proper documentation.[1]
Members of the Izzone regularly research opponents and create "scouting reports" with information from the internet and other sources. Grade point averages, police records, and embarrassing nicknames are popular.[5]

Honestly, don’t see a reseat happening. If they do, it will be through donation as they did a few years ago.

We have been in Hilton for three seasons (2 years in 229 row 10/11.). This season we were fortunate to move to a low row in 234.

I won’t say how much we donate, but it is well north of the minimum required for that section. So moving up in the pecking order is possible but it would require you to write a bigger check for more than a couple of seasons and continue the donation for as long as you have the tickets. Every time I talk to the ticket office for MBB renewal, they mention that the renewal rate is 95%+. Not a lot of seats to be had, but if you want them, you can get them.

I will say that we have had football tickets since JTS was built (lifetime seats - that at some point were converted to the point system, which to be honest I don’t know if it even exists anymore).

I don’t think any one item allows us to keep the MBB seats, probably a cumulative effect (lifetime donation, season FB tickets, yearly donation, etc.).

Anyone had luck adding seats? We're in 216, but only have 2 tickets - which doesn't work very well with our family size now.

To add seats you may have to take lesser seats at first and work your way back to where you are or donate more and move to another similar section with available seating.

We started with four (which I think is somewhat uncommon - as four together seems to be difficult to find when you are looking for tickets).
