Getting ready to pay Cyclone Club dues.

Any chance that Hilton will be reseating everyone this year?

Seems unlikely they'd suddenly decide to do that.

Would guess it is coming sometime soon...been awhile since they last did it, correct?

One thing I wouldnt mind seeing is a section in the balcony of the student section being turned over to the public. I will say though I was glad to see the students fill all the way to the top of the balcony yesterday.

I wonder what that would leave us for student tickets vs other schools. Not sure how we compare now

This would be a terrible idea.

Students make hilton what it is. Especially for the big games, i'd rather have those full of students

I wonder this as well. I think Allen Fieldhouse is 4,000 students. Maybe we could do more their model where they are sold as general admission and the rest that don’t get claimed before the game are sold to the public.

Were season ticket holders grandfathered in the last time they did a reseat ? Thought that was talked about last time.

For the big games yes, but there is no denying there are a ton of empty seats in the balcony on the east side of Hilton for about 80% of the games. Butts in seats is still better than empty seats.

They havent done a full reseat for a long time (and i would guess likely won't.... it does nothing but piss a lot of people off). A few years back they increased some donation levels and basically said 'pay up or get moved'.

There are a ton of empty seats in all sections, you just see them more in the student section because students push forward.

****, i've gone to more than one conference game this season where there were multiple seats around me in the parquet. Even moreso in the upper deck where you'd likely take seats from.

I dont think there's really an issue of people not being able to get seats for the games students aren't filling it up. Plenty of opportunities for people to buy third party if necessary anyway.

I suppose. If that’s happening for the rest of seats that’s disappointing that there are so many people that just don’t show up for certain games and don’t bother to sell their ticket.

I don't think there will be a re-seating of Hilton until at least one and probably both of the following happens:

1. Add ultra-premium seating. For instance, I could see them taking some of the inner concourse and changing it to suites (or at least boxes), perhaps only for the areas on either side of the half-court aisle (or in the area outside of Johnny's).
No reason to waste those seats on Chris and Jared! jimlad.png

2. Un-grandfather non-donors. It seems that there are lots of folks with really good seats who have them because somebody decades ago gave them some very generous deal. The economics of college basketball have changed in ways that no one ever could have imagined. And it isn't like those folks (their children and grandchildren) haven't benefited more than they ever expected.
May take a few years, but it is time to clear the chaff! jimlad.png

I'm in section 213, row 3 and we had to increase our donation from $500 to $1000 a couple of years ago. We also had 3 cheaper seats in a corner section and were able to get slightly better seats this year, so demand was down.

I can understand some wanting to do a full reseat and I'll sort of understand it if they do. But I've had season tickets for 15 years through all of the good and the bad and I've slowly worked my way to where I sit. I would greatly miss the people we've sat near for 15 years.
