I had previously predicted 18-14 and an NIT birth and have remained pretty optimistic to this point, but tonight I reached my breaking point.

I believe in Fred as the long term solution and I believe better things are ahead. But this year's team, judging from body language, has quit. At 14-2, although I knew we'd struggle in the Big 12, I never thought we'd see this kind of collapse from this bunch.

I believe now we will not win another game. Would that be a school record for consecutive losses?

And I hope I'm wrong about this last point, but judging again strictly from body language I would not be completely shocked of Ejim wasn't back next year.

Are you the body language whisperer?

Just gave TT and OU their first road wins of the year - yes all the pundits were right we are easily the worst team in the conference. And at what point do we stop putting it in DG's hands in a 1:1 situation at the end of halfs and games and have it fail - really how many times?? We would do better just to run the normal offense.

I hope not, but am sadden to say I can see it happening. I like this kids potential.

Why post that? His body language? How about his 19 points and 12 boards? Maybe his body language was bad cause they just got beat by one of the worst teams in college basketball at home.

It bothers me that we're going to finish 11th or 12th in the conference because we honestly aren't that bad compared to some of the Big 12 teams. We've completely blown 3 conference games now. Not games we "coulda" won, these games were all but ours and we give them away.

Shoot, outside of Mizzou we have given all of them away. KU maybe not, but Tech, OU, OSU, Nebraska should have all been wins had the team been able to close the deal. Just hope they don't get worked so hard they end up in the hospital during the off-season for training on closing out games.

I guess its time for me to come to reality. This team sucks. Just plain sucks. I should have known it...i knew we would struggle in the Big 12, but didn't think it'd be this bad. This team really has banked it in for the season.

Things aren't going to improve until we get some guys with fresh legs. We simply don't have enough guys on the bench and our players are already feeling the strain from all the games played already this season. Best thing to do at this point would be to take a couple days off from everything to hopefully get some gas back in the tank for the next game.

ISU may not win another game this year. I thought they might have a chance to win most of the remaining home games after the Missouri loss, but guess I was dreaming.

They just do not seem to know how to win close games any more, which is disappointing with one junior and 3 senior starters. Then, I guess we have to remember those players did not get a lot of practice with that the last few years either.

Hopefully next year will be better. I'm not as confident as I was though.

1-6 in soft part of conf schedule. Could be 4-3 quite easily. How can team be so bad at finishing out games? How can one player be so bad at end of games?

As much as I love our normal offense, by the time 4 minutes runs around our players (minus DG) are really looking gassed. I'm not sure they could do much better in the normal offense.

I see your point, but IMO there isn't much worse than the Greg McDermott (Dan McCarney?) end-of-half run out the clock and run a pathetic offense with DG vs. 3-4 defenders.

I'm not a basketball player nor a coach. But I have seen this over the past 5 years over and over and over so many times I couldn't even count that high if I tried.

I'm only going to say one thing about the end of regulation.
1. The inbound pass will drop close enough to draw iron!
2. The ball just needs to be lightly touched or tipped in.
3. You either get the basket or draw the foul.
end of discussion.
