We are 1-0 in games with an early start time (Baylor game was at 5) while being 0-6 in games which start after 7PM (5 of those started at 8PM). Going by my simple predictions, we lose at Colorado, then win at home against KSU (starts at 12:45).

I lived through McDermott ball, I can survive this.

We all knew this was a throw away year so why get so upset? There is light at the end of the tunnel. Next year we will pound OU in Norman and no one will even remember this game.
McD could win more than one conference game.....

Add surviving LE, Morgan and Mac and yes I can easily survive this. Regardless of this season this is the first time I've had hope for the ISU bball program since Tinsely bricked the layup against Baylor.

I just hope that Fred adjusts his coaching so that next year we don't act like we're still playing McDermott ball. Especially in close-game or end-of-half situations.

Yes, we all thought we would be bad. But we weren't as bad as we thought - or so it seemed. A decent OOC performance gave us hope, and expectations change throughout each season in every sport. I thought we would win a minimum of 5 conference games after our good start. We'll probably win one or two more, but it's been a disappointing start to conference play to say the least.

Ejim always looks like that. Don't be a fool and read too much into it. That is his gameface since day 1.

BTW...nice game ME.

I agree that he didn't necessarily look like he had checked out. If he had checked out I don't think we would see effort like he gave. He knows next year will be better, and he will just get better and better.

I think it is time to start talking about the curse that is hanging over ISU basketball. Some may think it is the Natty Lite Curse but I think it is the curse of Wayne Morgan. After all, we let him go after he took us to the NCAA and we have not been back since. Don't get me wrong I wanted to move on from him too but we have had nothing since his departure.

That's the reason I am upset. It was supposed to be a throw away year. We were picked last in the big 12. I wanted us to prove people wrong, and we have had a great chance to do that. It is going to take awhile to change the culture. It will get there.

I had previously predicted 18-14 and an NIT birth and have remained pretty optimistic to this point, but tonight I reached my breaking point.

I believe in Fred as the long term solution and I believe better things are ahead. But this year's team, judging from body language, has quit. At 14-2, although I knew we'd struggle in the Big 12, I never thought we'd see this kind of collapse from this bunch.

I believe now we will not win another game. Would that be a school record for consecutive losses?

And I hope I'm wrong about this last point, but judging again strictly from body language I would not be completely shocked if Ejim wasn't back next year.

A team that has quit doesn't come back after being down by 11 after just 5 minutes. Don't mistaken bad execution with "quitting". God do the dumb people come out after losses.

I know this year is rough, but what happened to the "world's best scout team?" They're still here. Next year is a different year and we will be better. I just feel bad for these guys giving their all and taking these losses.

He always looks like that. I don't think he's a very excitable guy either way. And at the end of the game, he looked disappointed with the loss. Shocking.

Yup,

...and with more help, more weights, more experience, and playing at the 3 position, Ejim WILL be a MONSTER for us.

Did anyone keep track of how many layups and bunny shots ISU missed tonight?
