I honestly thought when I saw it:

1) Fred was expecting a congrats hand shake and Huggins wanted to talk turkey, considering the way the game played out it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tend to lean towards officiating
2) Fred didn't have his WTF face on, he was again (at least for me) expecting a handshake and got some substance and was listening

Then after hearing the post game pressers there would have been a mention made if it was something a fan or player did. This brings me back to #1 I think the discussion was about officiating or a certain call or sequence.

I don't know for sure and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night either just a guess

Another team made that sign and one of our students must have copied it. There is a picture in one of the threads around here.

Google funny west Virginia pictures and youwill see that lline on 15 different pictures. It's a really old joke, though still funny.

Randy P will probably clear it all up for us in detail in one of his articles, tweets, or when he is on kxno with Murph & Andy.

By morning, some of the hens on this site will have convinced themselves that the coaches were brawling in the tunnel.

Too many people have to have a boogey man. Fran, Huggins, Self, refs, etc... They refuse to believe the firsthand accounts since it goes against whatever conspiracy theory they are trying to believe.

Maybe Huggins was mad about Kane moving to just outside their huddle. After one timeout, our guys come out and Huggins kept his guys in the huddle for a long time, so Kane (while still in the lane) stepped over right next to their huddle for about 2 seconds, probably just to mess with them, not to "steal secrets." It was great. One of the WV assistant coaches pushed a trainer to keep our guys away. Then after the timeout, the assistant reamed out the trainer again on the sideline. Hey, you put your huddle in the middle of the court and delay in coming out, then that is what you get.

You will never see Coach Huggins in a suit, as he ALWAYS wears a warm-up sweats to games. Coach Pat Knight was the only other coach that I could recall doing this.

I think he even wore a sweater for Big 12 Media day at the beginning of the season. He is a unique, genuine coach. And I dig that.

George Raveling at Iowa was the first that I recall to break the coach wears a suit dress code. It's one of the reasons that Iowa fans used to not give him the respect and support that he deserved for his coaching ability. Raveling only needed 3 years to realize that he needed to move on from Iowa City.

I didn't see the exchange, and I can't hear the coaches from my seat, but I'm pretty sure that Huggins was issuing some sort of sinister threat to Fred and our Cyclones.
Without knowing the details, I have to believe that the threats began with personal injury and escalated quickly from there.

Oh simmer down. If you were at the game, you could tell that it seemed like a very angry exchange. Huggins was pointing and Fred looked ******. If it was just Huggins complimenting an Iowa State player, it sure as hell didn't look like it.

Bobby Knight didn't wear a suit. He wore a sweater vest some. He may have even wore a company logo on it.
