Confirmed: Huggins was asking Fred where to get one of those red and gold ice creams.

I could have swore he said "you need to to talk to that kid, that mother ***** just shot the ball"...anyone know if Kane shot it at the end?
Kane didn't shoot it at the end.

I like Huggy Bear. I get how his demeanor could be distasteful and off-putting, but the guy is passionate about his teams and is an entertaining interview. He doesn't mince words around and I appreciate the candor.

Who knows exactly what was said, I was lip reading on TV and definitely saw a mother bleeper. Appeared to me he also said 'can play' but I'm not certain. Carry on.

In the first half when Fred got up and went out on the court to chat with the refs, I think I read his lips then, If I'm not mistaken it wasn't safe for childrens television.
Oh yes.

I am also a Huggy Bear fan. What you see is what you get and that guy can coach. It's refreshing.

I was there with a good vantage point, definitely looked confrontational and that Huggins was chewing Fred's *** about something. Who knows.

Was curious about this as well. My first guess was that Kane scored there at the end but saw the box score was the same at the end as when Kane had the ball near half court, so figured that wasn't it though couldn't see on TV.

Either way. Glad to get the win.

I have to agree whole heartedly, that moved me. I had never seen that before. Wow! I have always liked him, but that just solidified my respect for Coach Huggins.

How have people not seen this?!?! I not for the run Butler made to the final game, this would have been the story of the tourney that year. It was everywhere! I remember being at the bar and watching it and got a bit misty eyed seeing the passion for his players. You don't see that all too often anymore (I'm looking at you, Cal!)

I like his style. Coach Huggins is extremely candid as a previous poster eluded to. I don't know if you ever noticed but he doesn't seem very enthused with meeting with the press. Don't think interviews are his thing. But, he is an extremely intelligent coach.

You will never see Coach Huggins in a suit, as he ALWAYS wears a warm-up sweats to games. Coach Pat Knight was the only other coach that I could recall doing this.

I think he even wore a sweater for Big 12 Media day at the beginning of the season. He is a unique, genuine coach. And I dig that.

Maybe he WAS ******. Where's the muthertrucking hospitality Fred? When I coached against Eustachy we were mothertrucking drunk and banging muthertrucking coeds over there in the tunnel before, during, and after the game!!!
