How far away do you live from your birthplace?

Why are so many people using miles for the distance. You all know that hours/minutes is the only acceptable measurement of distance used in Iowa.

Because it sounds equally far if I say 1900 miles or 24 hours.

4 hrs and 14 minutes from Ottumwa to St Joe's in Joliet.

4 hrs and 29 minutes to my parents' house in Mokena, IL.

Lived in the house I came home from the hospital to for 10 years, lived in an apartment for a year, and then moved to where my parents now live, a house they built one block south and two lots west from the original house.

Stops in Omaha-Columbus, NE - Lincoln.

Because in Iowa, miles and hours/minutes are usually one in the same.

I think this poll would be better suited for how far do you live from where you grew up, at least for me. I live in the city I was born in (Phoenix), but my entire family lives in Iowa, and that is where I grew up. My Parents moved back to Iowa when i was 3. So even though I live where I was born, I have no family here.
