Bob Roe's in Sioux City has some great pizza.

Black Market and Great Plains in Ames are awesome.

For chain I'd have to say God Fathers (biased I worked at one for a few years)
Casey's has really good pizza too.

I agree with some others the Jeff's is great drunk pizza.

Pizza pit is awesome and I actually like it better than jeffs even if it's a lesser quality and a chain.

Black Market...can't stand the pizza. And I've heard rumors about the employees too that make me sick. Just not a fan of the place.

I know CF hates southern Iowa, but if you are ever in Centerville, George and Nick's have some of the best pizza in the state.

George and Nick's is delicious. Also like Pagliai's in Grinnell, and Leon's in Webster City. Otherwise, Caseys is my pizza of choice

I'm not really a fan of BM chicago crust but their "thin" crust is good stuff. Plus they don't skimp on toppings.

As for Great plains I love cheese on my pizza and they put enough on there for me.

Lol, have you ever personally worked in any food service? If so you'd know what goes on in EVERY kitchen. As long as you're not "That Guy/Girl" 90% of the time you're going to be safe. I suppose it depends on the rumors but I worked in Food services for a long time most of the things you hear are true, but exaggerated as to how much it happens haha.

I actually currently work in the food service (I'm a student) at a pizza restaurant. Not saying which one, however. But I know people who have worked at Black Market saying things happen that I'd never imagine happening

My favorite chain place is Pizza Ranch. On a price/value scale, it's hard to beat.

I've had Zoey's once and it seemed expensive for what it was. I should probably give it another try sometime, though.

Tomaso's has good pizza. I haven't eaten there in a while, but I've liked what I've had there.

Leonardo's (SW CR) has some good pizza as well for a different flavor and atmosphere. We like to go on Monday or Tuesday: valpak.com always has a coupon for a 2-topping 16" plus a pitcher of pop for only $13 Mon/Tues from 5-8. I like their finely-ground sausage.

I've heard good things about Zeno's, but I've never eaten there.

You drive all the way across town to go to Leonardos when you have Zoey's and Tomasos both within a closer drive.... SMH.

The late Borderline Pizza in Chester, Iowa is the best I've ever had. Their recipe lived on at R&B Pizza in Osage which has been recently bought by a new owner and renamed. I don't know what the new name is, but I'll be looking to try it out sometime.

Mabe's in Decorah is probably my favorite currently. They deliver to Toppling Goliath's tap room. Hard to beat that pizza/beer combo.

In central Iowa, Pizza Pit and Jeff's are among my favorites in terms of overall pizza quality. Fong's and Big Tomato have the best topping combinations, but probably aren't as good in terms of sauce/crust.

Eastern Iowa, gotta go with Falbo's in IC. Every time I partied there, the night couldn't end without a giant $2 slice of Falbo's.

I was glad to see they had some Toppling Goliaths beer on tap at Mabes. I love their Tsunami Dark!!
