It is time for Tim Brando to retire. I was so sick of the way he slobbered all over Dave Aranda and the Baylor team.
There's always a bunch of **** heads in the game day thread who moan and whine at every battle lost. It's the war not the battles that matter, and guess what, the other team has talent, smart coaches, and is trying too. They think they are justified and anyone who gets sick of the schtick will just accept mediocrity.
That was the best atmosphere in Jack Trice in several years - Iowa games included. Electric.
Often, actually, CMC teams have been better on the road than at home. I'm not sure where you get this sentiment.
I love how much coach Mac is 100% a cyclone and there for the team. How often is it that a coach gets fired, coaches elsewhere, but still retains loyalty and passion for the school that fired them? Dude is a legend.
People who have been around longer than me, is heacock the best coordinator we have ever had by a long shot? Seems that way to me I just expect us to give up 7 or less 2nd half points amost every game like clockwork.
Not a fb historian by any means, but IMO easily and that he seems content to stay is even better for us.
Steve Loney was really good. He was an elite OL coach.

I am hoping for a night game versus UCF at the jack
There was no one like Mangino.
Combined questionable play calling in the first drive and bad QB decision with the int. The slow start against a team that was able to capitalize early.
ISU was able to overcome because Baylor was an inferior opponent. WVU is better in a hard place to play and will be juiced with their Coal Rush theme similar to our "White Out".
Similar level performance in this situation I don't think would lead to a win. Need to polish a few things and getting healthy on defense would help.
I’m not going to go back to the Majors or Bruce eras, but I think I can say with confidence. Best coordinator with any longevity whatsoever? Yes.
Rivaled as an assistant by Steve Loney, but that was more as an OL coach that he was great.
Not explosive? What team are you watching? This is the most explosive team we've had since 2020, and they were aided by a weird year.
We have to make hay this year because we aren't going to be able to replace Higgins and Noel. That's one of the best duos in ISU history.
The whole broadcast was awful. Fox is not putting any effort into these games.
Tech and Cincy at home are games we need to win if we want to reach the mountain top. Period.
But yes a night game in Morgantown is not much fun. Need to be dialed in right away next week.

Not so much for the second. These two are only the beginning.
Was going to say this elsewhere, but it took Higgins until the second half last year to really get in a groove. I’m hoping to see Alston, Ngoyi or maybe Overby really blossom sooon.
Unsure if mentioned already, but in case he has to shut it down I believe he can still preserve his redshirt at least
