Ya I was worried about have a dud game but the team is better than that this season. If we win next week, I'm full strength kool-aid from here out.

Will Orness is who I believe you are referring to? He became QB the next year after Matson left and led Humboldt back to the UNI Dome. They lost in the semi finals again, I believe. He also made the shrine bowl.

I don't know of him playing anywhere after HS, but I do think he graduated. Not 100% sure on that tho. His brother is actually the one who makes those awesome replay and highlight videos on Sounds of Cyrens. Give him a follow on YouTube!

not sure what is going on with Fox Sport's youtube channel but they have highlight videos of all of their games last weekend except one. (Iowa State and Baylor) The only highlight videos are from ESPN or the BIG XII channels. I haven't found any game replays or other highlights.

Ya not sure on the name. I think he was #7 or maybe #10? He was making plays all over the field, on defense too during Matson's senior year.

Yeah, Will Orness is probably the one you are referring to. He was #17 I believe, and then he switched to #3 his senior year.

Source: I am a Humboldt native and was a modestly successful FB player at HHS and I was on the team that won 3A in 2007.

(Sorry, I don't get to brag about my athletic prowess too often... for good reason lol!)
