Meanwhile their gas operation continues to suck a phat one. Either half the pumps are closed off, or the card scanner isn't working and you have to go inside, or they've added a bunch of crap to have to answer just to get to the point where you can actually gas up. Am seriously starting to hate that place.
I generally have the same experience. Initially I wrote it off to the fact that I am toward the edge of Casey's territory and maybe things are a little lax farther from HQ. But after following this thread I see this is much more universal. Bummer, really used to enjoy Caseys.

This is every ******* Casey's on the planet circa the last 4-5 years.

Meanwhile Kwik Star has actually gotten better in that window of time.

Yep, I'm in the heart of Central Iowa Casey's Country and their gas operation is awful everywhere.

I'm in northeast Iowa, barely an hour from where Kwik Trip/Star is headquartered, so they've always been in this area as long as I can remember. 10 years Kwik Star vs. Casey's was a legitimate, serious debate. Today that's unthinkable. It's a product of both KS's growth and improvement, and Casey's going down the shitter.

Not only is their gas operation awful, their gas selection is usually pretty bad as well. Do you want 88 with lots of ethanol or 88 with little ethanol? Oh, you don't want either? Tough ****

I will not buy fuel as Casey's unless I'm desperate, and even then I'm not filling up. Still like their pizza.

Fuel Saver is the only reason I go to Casey's.

The one in Waukee asks you if you want a car wash... it doesn't tell you it's at a ****** place 3 blocks away.

Clarinda has two Casey's. One, the older one, is managed well. The newer one is really mismanaged and always dirty and huge lines with 4 people jacking around in the kitchen/office while one person mans the cashier station.

Last time it asked me if I wanted to provide my phone # to receive texts, but only gave me the options of "Yes" and "Cancel". When I hit "Cancel" it cancelled my entire gas process, so I had to swipe again, and then hit "Yes" just to be able to gas up. Two minutes later I got a text that I then had to unsubscribe from. F*ckers.

I had a large boner for Casey’s and grew up on it. However, I drive a ton for work the last 6-7 years and you are 100% on the money. Casey’s totally blows in comparison.
