What is sad is that the Iowa State Football team left you with so much Butt Hurt that you continually come here and post day after day after day. Care to make any predictions of the Iowa State---Iowa Football game for next fall?

This is the part I don't understand about smack talk. We are 2-10 coming off a 3-9 season. Iowa is going to a bowl game - again. Their worst bowl game would cause riots in the streets of Ames if we were to have such success.

Is this all in good fun between internet buddies, or do you actually believe we're better than Iowa?

I predict it will be a good game, and if Ferentz is still playing risk averse football the Hawks could very likely get beat.

That's what we call a rational approach.

What gives you optimism about the Hawkeyes? They are losing 10 starters this year. Including Scherf and those big DT's.

What motivates a guy to constantly post negatively on the Cyclone Forums for months on end......day after day after day. UNIGuyAgainstCy

Im hardly negative, I just know its time to move on with this staff and we are wasting one more year waiting to do so. Reallignment scares the crap out of me, we have no football tradition nor are we trending up and we lack a large population in this state. In other words, it would be good to start winning if we have any chance in the future to stay in a power conference.

instead of continuous bickering, lets settle this with a bet.

If ISU wins 4+ games next season, section110 gets a month ban.
If ISU wins 4 games or less, stormin gets a month ban.

Good grief. Hope you aren't a parent. If you don't think you are negative, I do not see any way you could give positive, uplifting, encouragement to anyone. I can hear you now. "Sorry son. You suck. You just as well give up. You will never amount to anything. Our family has always sucked. And we will always suck. Because we have always sucked."

How about Cyclone Fanatic adopt the Jon Miller Rule. Any Poster who posts negatively about the Hawkeyes is automatically banned. Let's ban all those who post negatively about the Cyclones.

Coe and Irving......not injuries. Happened in the spring. Collin Bevins transferred......homesick, not injured. All Defensive Tackles.

I thought Iowa was going to play for the National Championship this year. What happened?

Coe, Irving, and Bevins are ALL on CPR. Those are guys he signed onto his football team.

Coe was a definite character concern, Irving's misbehaviors were hardly out of nowhere, and Bevins was some kind of recruiting miss that I'm not even sure about. Not sure if his commitment was misjudged, his talent, or if there was some kind of feud or the kid was just burnt out of football.

Either way, these are on CPR. The allocation of scholarships to those players for what, 7 combined years are a big part of what has contributed to the team being so young, shallow, and just plain bad on defense.

I am hopeful they will win 6 games or more. Confident we will win at least 4 games. Confident we will beat the Hawkeyes. But we must get all of our commits signed first.

Bevins was homesick and transferred to NWMSU.

Not sure that Irving had issues before coming to Ames. Tell us what they were when he signed for the Cyclones as a senior in high school. What kind of trouble had he been in?

As far as Coe, he had been at Iowa Western and did not have any problems from what I know. Tell us the problems since you seem to have knowledge of them.

For years I was sunshine and rainbows, I had hope, but now hope is gone. I know what we have in Rhoads, a guy that overachieved in year 1, but could never completely turn the corner after putting the program on the national stage in 2011. He had his shot, had some good wins but in the end he is or at his peak was a .500 coach.

That would make him one of the best Iowa State Football Coaches in the last 30 years.
