Thing is, in the Big 12 he'd be facing some of the best competition around, which could hurt his draft stock if he doesn't do well (remember, he seems to think he's a one and done player). At least in the Mountain West he'd be going against weaker competition that makes him look better, thus increasing his draft stock.

but the NBA is changing the rules so a player has to be 20. that means all players will have at least years of college ball. i read it will impact current HS seniors. so I hope RV knows that!

If a guy really believes he is a 1 and done player he definitely wouldn't be afraid of playing in one of the toughest conferences in the country. It's one thing to attempt to boost your draft stock by playing against the scrubs in the Mountain West and it's another thing entirely competing against high caliber players in the Big XII and actually getting battle tested before you head to the NBA. There is a reason the Big XII puts a lot more players in the NBA then the Mountain West does.
