I say we play both SJ and JB both early in each game and then go with whoever is being more producting. I think that will vary depending on the defense. Tonight, I think that would have been JB.
Seneca wasn't a HS kid, he was also a transfer from a California JuCo. Win some, lose some, I guess.
Bad game week preparation? Doesn't sound much like a Rhoads coached team though. Could be that Tech's d line was just that much better. FCS doesn't give you much in terms of up close replays on the line so I couldn't really tell how they were doing individually on a play by play basis. I just noticed no running room for our RB's, and Steele running out of a collapsed a whole lot. So either their D line played really well, our ours played like crap. Could also be that Iowa's d line just isn't that good...
My biggest problem with Jantz is that he can't seem to get the other guys on the offense to respond when things aren't going well. Generally the offense looks to the quarterback for leadership and he just doesn't seem like an effective leader to me. I'm not sure any of the other guys could have done any better, but I'm convinced that Jantz is just never going to be the guy who we all know he has the physical tools to be.
Man, the more I think about this offensive line, it's really concerning. I just don't know what can be done about it.

Was Richardson brought in to run THIS style of offense? Because if not, I think next year would be the perfect time to bring in a fresh offensive coordinator with new ideas and scheme.
I'm sure they weren't, but that doesn't mean you have to throw it to the open defenders, cause eff it, they're open, or run around with the holding the ball like a finger sammich so it can be knocked out easily.
Sadly we've seen that too. Pray to god we can recruit some stud or diamond in the rough really soon!
This. Our off. line performance tonight was pathetic. with o line play like that we won't win another game.
If nothing else changes on the offense will see more poor QB performance. Doesn't matter which QB is out there.

Sorry, but when was this successful, exactly? Back when we were finishing 6-6, 7-5 under Mac? About the same with the spread. Maybe it sent the scheme but the talent??
I know, I have only been alive 30 years but I can probably double that number to come up with how long we have had a receiver problem.
