If Jantz has more TO's next week, then bring in Barnett. TCU can be beat, our team simply has to play better on offense starting with blocking.

positives:

Good job defense as a whole
Kirby is the best player on our team.
Brun is a pretty good TE. Pleasant surprise.

OK's:
D-Line
need to recruit more size for CB's..tonight showed why.

negatives:

O-Line is bad.
Jantz looks just as bad as last year...looks like Tulsa was his game like Iowa last year.
Arceo is not good enough. Either burn Netten's red shirt or find someone else more consistent on PATs..

I don't understand why some continue to defend Jantz. It's like they want him to be the leader so bad that they had hyped him into coming out of JuCo. They occasionally mentioned potential. If you're still talking about potential a third of the way through your senior season - you'll still be talking about when forty.

Not defending Jantz. But the problem is A LOT DEEPER than Jantz. A new QB doesn't solve a fundamental problem with this offense.

Jantz dropping the ball, then holding the ball one handed again in the next series tells me that its time to find someone better. Think Tiller could move back?

Saw that as well. Very frustrating. A little time on the bench might help him learn that lesson.

No one is suggesting Jantz was the only player in our uniform that performed poorly tonight. People are merely suggesting that we're receiving atrocious production at the most important position in team sports, and it isn't exactly new.

Actually, with the title of this thread, that is exactly what is being suggested...

Jantz was bad, but...

The OL was horrible tonight.
The play calling has been horrible all season.
The offensive scheme has been horrible not just all season, and not just under CPR's tenure, but for as long as I can remember.

Jantz was bad tonight, but I don't think another QB does any better.

Agree. Steele is not good. But there are so many problems with this offense. The list is long. For one thing, Tech had guys coming unblocked all night. Steele was running for his life. The ISU line was absolutely manhandled by their front 4. They kicked our ***** up front. John Elway wasn't going to do much with the line playing that way. Also, people are forgetting Steele made two really good throws that Ernst fumbeld and another came back on a holding penalty.

At the end of they day you have to score 30 points to win a game in this conference. And this isn't even close. receivers aren't open, QB play is not good, the O line performance is as bad as I can remember. And yes there are some mystifying play calls. Bad all around.

Two weeks to prepare and this is what Messingham comes up with?

He's a turnover machine who can't take care of the ball. No, I don't think Jb would be much better. This sucks.

I hope Sage comes in and gets a job as a QB coach next season...then in the future move him into OC.

Do you know what TCU is going to do to our offensive line with the speed they have. Tech's defnese is crap compared to them.

No, it isn't. I know everyone's ****** after the game and being argumentative becomes natural, but no one is saying that.

I think the problem is that ISU can't recruit the players to run the spread. Cyclones need to go back to basics and run what's been successful before--smash-mouth football. ISU is a Big Ten style team in the Big12: run first, stout defense.

This says everything. The O as a whole was just horrible tonight, except for one drive in 2nd half.. 6 points. Not all Jantz, but he certainly didn't play well. I don't have much confidence in the kicking game either.
