What worries me is that I am scared the offense has lost confidence in Jantz and maybe bringing in Barnett or Richardson would bring back some confidence in the rest of the offense.

Im starting to see a lot of similarities between Mess and Barney Cotton. They even look kind of similar. Run, run, pass, punt, classic Cotton. I like to play a little game where I guess if they're going to run or pass. I guessed 9 in a row vs TT, true story.

I hoped to see Barnett get the nod before the season. Since he didnt, I think you give Jantz two more games to prove himself. If he plays poorly, start Barnett the rest of the season.

Time for Sam Richardson to take over!

Until he "screws up" and then you will be calling for his hide.

I haven't read all this thread, but good grief people. ISU got beat by a damn good Texas Tech team -- not some team out of the MAC conference. Sure I was disappointed in the outcome and I sure wish ISU's offense could have got going a little more.

But I ain't blaming Janz, Messingham, the O line or anyone. TT just outplayed ISU -- pure and simple.

Not gonna lie, I said the same thing on Saturday. Super boring, predictable and basically worthless offense. It was by far the worst called game from an offensive stand-point that I've seen since Cotton. I hope that isn't going to be a common theme moving forward.

How many of you can actually look at the play and know what a "wrong" read actually is? If I get a chance tomorrow I'll rewatch the game and give an exact number of incorrect reads he made. It wasn't very many against Tech. The problem is when there are more people than we can block no matter what read we make we're in deep ****. Tech played us into what they wanted because they knew we couldn't beat them on short routes through press coverage. If I can send 7 and you can only block 6 and you need time for receivers to get off press coverage I'm going to win most of the time.

Good post. lot of times, tech just had too many guys in the box, knowing they could press our receivers, tech had a good game plan, we will see this from now on until the offense can make people pay for it

The intercepted pass to Brun was thrown into the crowd. Only a great play by Brun to get his hands on it almost resulted in a catch. Some people would not have thrown that ball to that target.

I understand your point, but brun has to catch it, this isn't junior high football and going over the middle you are going to get hit, it's a violent game at this level, would have been a great play, but he needed to make it

Pretty easy for you you when you arent the one getting hit. The defense made a damn good play but with him still in the air, very hard for him to make the catch.
