That would probably give it away. Not a premium subscriber but I would say it might be David Bedford or
Anthony Lewis. Bedford is the #9 JC prospect and is a pass rushing DE. Lewis is a middle linebacker with 4.5 speed. Easy to get excited about each.

Well, it wouldn't be Bedford because someone said this kid could be a 4 year starter; JC won't give us that.

The problem is that people with the premium info start threads saying that we have a new recruit and just leave it at that until it is made public.

I started this thread and I don't have premium info. I saw it on the front page of CR and just wanted to know what anyone thought/knew.

Like I said before, don't worry, I'll never start another one.

I hope it's a long-snapper (just felt like saying something you would never hear said in these awesome new commit threads.) Seriously I do love these threads and I love the anticipation, its just the same kind of stuff that keeps me pumped and anticipated for the next Cyclone football season.

I'd much rather save the $10 and wait. I don't get into recruiting much though, so that's easy for me to say.

agreed. I'm more than happy to keep the $10 in my pocket and wait it out for a couple of days. I am getting a little tired of the "I know and you don't" attitude that a couple of posters are throwing around.

With the way Gene and the staff are realing in recruits these kind of threads will start to slow down. There will probably only be 4-5 more committs added to this class. The nice thing is this class seems to get better with each new committ. These are not "plan B" type guys like other seasons.

Is anyone else suprised with the low number of Juco's? I thought this class would have 5-6. I'm not sure Mac ever had a class with only 1 JC kid. I would still be extremely happy with a guy like Bedford if wanted to come aboard.

Not really, Chizik said last year that he only wanted to get Juco kids for a year or two, and that we had to get away from them because it wasn't building kids from the ground up.

I guess I didn't expect to have many at all this year, or later down the road.

i think chiz will only use the juco route if he has an immediate need in the future... so you will see a class with 1 or 2 jucos... like carlson he has value with 3yrs left and extreme speed...

Looking at the field last year, I think we could use another juco linbacker and defensive end.

I'd like to see a beasty linebacker or DT. We need a rough-and-tough defense to set the tone in games that we are not the Cyclones of old.
