Is there audio to this? That's insane. Could you imagine one of our coaches attacking Walters?
Heard it on the Morning Rush this AM. I would assume they have it on their podcast.

Maybe Woodbury's own eyesight is really bad and he has poor depth perception. Maybe he's just putting his hand out to guard and can't tell how close he is to the opposition. Poor eyesight would explain a lot of why he sucks at shooting overall.

Yes, your are correct, sort of. A hand in the opponents face means putting a palm in the face (fingers spread) to obstruct their vision, NOT going at someones face with your palm facing down and fingers facing forward.I watched the Virginia Louisville game last night and the announcers were talking about why Virginia is so good at defense and one of the points they made was that they use their hands to obstruct the vision of the ball handler. They talked about all Virginia players are coached to put a hand in front of the eyes of the person with the ball so they cant see. It's the same technique when defenders close out on a shooter and they put their hand in front of the shooter's eyes instead of trying to block the shot. Woodbury has probably used his hands to try and obstruct the vision of an opponent a thousand times. Woodbury probably just misjudged the distance, it happens.
This is full of unintentional win. You do realize what game that gif is from, don't you, Section8?
Our win at UT in football?
I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt until...

Didn't read the entire thread but I watched the game yesterday and it was no accident. No reason you have to put your hand specifically on someones face to guard them. He is low level talent and has to do what he can to try to level the playing field. It was blatant and if you disagree, go watch it again.
I guess I didn't mean he said to himself that he was going to poke this dude in the eye but it's not like this is an isolated incident either. Its a strategy he uses.I also watched the game yesterday, and I don't think he did it on purpose or he means to hurt people. I think it has more to do with bad depth perception and an extremely uncoordinated fool.
