Why is that funny? Texas Tech fans don’t support the program and don’t travel well. It’s not crazy to think he’d leave for Alabama. WHP 810 out of Kansas City was talking the other day about how Tech fans need to realize what they have in Beard before he bolts because he has no fan support. I’m not saying Alabama basketball fans are better, it’s very plausible he could look at it as a better job.

Seems they had plenty of support at the games I watched. If he is going to make a move it will be to a much better job than Alabama.

And this is my biggest issue with it all.

We have the best offensive talent in the Big 12 and I would argue it got progressively worse throughout the year.

Not sure that's true, just something announcers kept repeating based on a few games when we were shooting well, esp. THT. Other than Shayok, who could you count on to consistently score the ball? THT is the poster child for inconsistency and never did learn what a good shot is, taking bad fade aways to the end. Tyrese can hit an open 3 and is good in the open court, but limited otherwise. Lindell finally started hitting his stride in the last 4-5 games, but not consistent prior to that. MJ was limited against bigger players.

Yes congratulations to Steve in the three tourney appearances he beat two 12’s and a 13.

To beat a 12 and a 13 in the first round says you have a fairly high seeding. I think you get high seedings because of success. I GUESS CSP could have lobbied to play a #1 in the first round to make your point but I'm not sure it works that way.

Same argument with Iowa. Soft schedule, weak conference - whatever. But you can only play and beat the teams on your schedule and in your bracket.

This. There is no offense. What is the offesnsive identity? Transition? That’s about as helpful as having an identity of special teams in football.

Just roll the ball out and hope your players make plays. Middle school teams run more set plays than ISU. And then the inbound plays...We literally forfeit a would be advantage a just hope to safely get the ball in.

Prohm anticipated the 4 guard lineup being a bigger mismatched than it was, and never adjusted in games where it wasn’t working.

I remember when people tried to tar and feather McD because he had set plays and "we" wanted to free wheel it.

What was the attendance trend this year with him? Heard an interview and they said they were near capacity at their 14,000 seat arena.

Holy crap; the moron flips after doubling-down on his first opinion. Sometimes the coaching merry-go-round is entertaining and other times it's moronic ")

The funny thing is I think he wrote the column predicting prohm to Alabama tonight.
