Marty and Miller 100% stirring the pot now. Quite humorous.

Nahhhhhhhh....let me guess it goes like:

Marty: Fred is gone, 100%, book it, people aren't going to like it but that is the facts and I'm not talking 5 years from now I'm talking like after the NBA playoffs here
Miller: I'm not gonna go 100% Marto but I'll give you 95% and it's looking like ISU is resigned to another blow to the stones
Marty: It's the biggest story out there right now that no one else is talking about but we're ahead of the curve as usual, Kenny, and people are going to look back and say, "The Marty & Miller boys were right I don't know how we didn't see that one coming".
Miller: Well Mart, you know I don't like going down these roads but sometimes you just have to call that darkness you see coming for what it is

A to B to C just doesn't connect here.

A - Hoiberg has already made up his mind to leave in the next year or 2
B - Hoiberg tells this to Otz about this to convince him to come here
C - Otz tells Romar this is why he is leaving

Nope

No one has explained the whole situation so that it makes sense.

I don't think fred is leaving this year. But I think the groundwork has been laid that TJ is the next guy. I don't think that is the best move.

When has Pollard ever tipped his hand at his moves? Pollard wants to win as much as anyone. You honestly don't think he would at least see who might be interested in the job? You think he settled on TJ now?

Come on, man. Pollard doesn't roll like that. He has hired two football and two basketball coaches. And how many times did he promote from the staff? TJ may be thinking that he can slide over if/when Fred leaves someday in the future but I can't believe Pollard gave him any guarantee or even an indication that would happen.

It is just complete and utter fantasy to think Pollard is making moves now to hire his next coach someday in the future.

That is amazing. Well done.

The fact that you (or anybody) knows what they are doing gives me the sadz.

I don't even regularly listen to their show and I could write it for them from start to finish, on any topics. Or I can write their questions and responses for interviews. It's the Nickelback of sports radio.

There is and has been smoke out there, even in the AAU ranks, regarding Hoiberg being done coaching at ISU really soon. Not definitive on whether that means taking an AD job, NBA job, or a year or two off. Comes from a good source at Simeon in chicago. We had a couple offers in to kids there and the talk definitely didn't help us. One ended up committing to Illinois or Nebraska, the other went to NW or maybe Purdue (can't recall). Definitely schools we should always recruit over. FWIW.

Edit - looked it up. One went to Nebraska (4*), the other Iowa (3*).

Lol...whatever makes them feel better about their decisions. I'm sure had nothing to do with looking at about 3 minutes per game of playing time next season because they aren't better than what we have coming back.

Lol I knew jsb would have a freak out before I opened this thread. Even if all the doom and gloom was true, I'm not sure why its automatic that TJ would be an awful head coach. He knows virtually everything about Hoiberg's system and he is an excellent recruiter.

First some of the fans reactions to Diallo's recruitment, now this. The butthurt is flowing on CF today.

This is nothing more than a bitter head coach acting like a child because of his pieces of the puzzle decided to leave since Washington was awful this season. Stop being so salty and reading into things too much, people. My goodness!
