I laughed a few weeks ago when someone suggested a HB forum, now I wish there was one and I wish it was off the main page.

It's like dating a girl for 3 years. You get down on your knee and ask her and she says no. Then the next day people start telling you to get over her and get on with life. Even though she is dating a different guy just like you who has had the hottest chicks in the world for the last 40 years. You just have to look at her like WHY.

Couldn't have said it better!

The whole signing saga didn't bother me that much, but the people who come on here and order others to "move on", "get over it", etc. are just antagonizing everyone and they keep adding fuel to the fire. As long as they keep posting orders to everyone, the more people will respond.

So if people can come on here and vent, can those of us who want to "move on" still come on here and request people to "move on" and offer our own opinions on the whole situation under the guise of free speech on a message board?

It goes both ways fellas....just sayin'

"She" was dating at least 5 other guys. After awhile you gotta ask yourself what the heck you were thinking dating someone who had been putting it our for just about everyone.

I would agree with you except for one thing. The purpose of a message board is to allow (and encourage) people to vent, discuss, etc. Ordering people to "move on" or "get over it" is an attempt to stifle discussion and venting.

Besides, the more discussing and venting that goes on makes more money for CycloneFanatic. The more clicks to the website, the more that can be charged for advertising, and more advertisers will want to be seen on the website. With more income, the more the site can be upgraded and the mods will get paid more and that will make them happier and they will be more likely to give out more stimulus credits. Sounds good to me.

How is it an order though? You can say your opinions, and we can say ours which is that you need to move on, both opinions, not orders. The only ordering that can be done around here is by the mods. Discussions can also include people from the other side of the issue.

Problem, is, she invited the public :)

I really have no problem with people dwelling or people moving on, but I hate that every little thing is being blamed on this kid. HB is not an event planner, he is a student. Ames HS put the signing day charade together and decided to invite the public (probably on the chance that he would pick ISU). Unfortunately our coaching staff and facilities didn't feel like home to this kid, or like me he didn't want to live within driving distance of home. Blame him for his pick, but quit saying that "he" invited the public. That was a choice that Ames HS and ESPN U made.

This is some what true. More impressions equals more advertising, but advertisers also look at content. Many tend to shy away due to tense conversations that occur on message boards (usually religion, politics, or bashing). They don't want their brand associated with the emotions seen in those discussions. They also don't want to be the topic of such threads. I am not saying this thread would go in that category, but just clarifying.

Going to NC is fine but you don’t be so arrogant to think that ISU is going to be thrilled to get kicked in the nards. How that went down will never be forgotten by ISU.
