That, and the second you allow alcohol to be sold in the entire stadium, you devalue the SEZ seats, suites, JTS Club, and the Jacobson Building seating. You can drink in JTS, you just have to pay a premium to do it, and I think JP wants to keep that as is.

Agree. And they can keep the alcohol in a confined area. Sell alcohol throughout the stadium and you lose control of a large part of it.

We gain a lot of money from those premium areas and can control liquor consumption to those areas. No need to expand it throughout the stadium.

Plus, it is claimed that the majority of people are leaving the stadium to go to the restroom and get something to eat. Selling beer in the stadium will only make the restroom situation worse. Plus, those in the cheap seats will definitely leave the stadium to the parking lots for their own beer rather than buy expensive beer in the stadium.

And you do not have a beer or a drink?

What does it matter? It's still easier to use the restrooms outside than it is inside the stadium.

but to answer your question, yes since I'm already out there and our group usually discusses the first half over a beer or two.

I go out of the stadium every game at half, usually for one of the following reasons.

1. The band is bad and annoying.
2. Easier to go to the bathroom.
3. Find some shade.
4. Maybe 1 or 2 times a year grab a beer.

missouri for the big 12 north title begs to differ.
That was in the early 2000's when fan excitement was pretty poor for having decent football and basketball teams. Fan excitement is at an all time high probably because of basketball but it helps with football as well. If we were in Big 12 title contention this year, we will sell out every game.

Which is an incredibly stupid move, but that's what you get from a track loving nerd accountant.

This nerd accountant hopes he sticks to his word. I already have drunk annoying coaches in the stands around me I sure as hell don't want them drinking more.

2004 was a product of excitement being over the top in the first half of 2002, and ISU spending the the last half of 2002 and all of 2003 ******* it down the drain. 2004 was a good bounce back season, but a lot of people checked out mid way through 2003 and didn't come back until early 2005.

I imagine the miserable weather conditions had more to do with the stands being less than full (the entire game I might add) then people deciding to go out for a drink and not being back for the third quarter kick off.

Mrs. Velo is still mad at me for dragging her to that game.

1. This is COLLEGE FOOTBALL, there is supposed to be a marching band and I think ours is just fine.
2. I don't understand why people have a hard time using the bathroom???
3. There is shade all over on the concourse (at least on the east side, which is the side that gets killed with the sun anyway).

Yea, I can verify that CD16 will be at all the games, Stormsy, prohibition or fireball fountain.

Talking about going to the Lots at halftime. Without beer there, why go out the stadium to the Lot. Why would anyone want to go to a Porta Potty where there is no water to wash your hands after going? Bet that food really tastes good after going to the bathroom and not washing your hands.

Now we're just arguing for the sake of arguing.
