It’s fascinating how, by sheer happenstance, they didn’t mention the ‘25 five star he’d be stuck behind.

Or, that they’d bring in another 5 star next year. And the year after that.

Completely accidental, I’m sure.
Also that they are bringing in another 4* for an OV this coming weekend.

“Tuscaloosa was awesome,” Thomalla said. “There was great energy from the coaches and players all weekend.

“What excites me most about Bama is the chance to compete at the highest level. The coaches really believe in me, and with their resources and track record of developing quarterbacks for the NFL, they’re a program that can take me to the next level.

“I’m still committed to Iowa State and will go official there this weekend, just taking it one step at a time.”

It is is a pay article but here is the link to the full article:

Not a dig at you Big J, but I don't know that I've ever seen post-visit quotes that were anything revelatory. It all reads like PR Mad Libs to me...

"My visit was [positive adjective]. The coaches and players were [positive character trait] from the minute I got to campus. They care about winning and building for my future just like I do."

I would love to see one someday that just skewers a place. "The coach sucks, players are full of themselves and the fans are garbage. No way I'm going there"

I believe that was Randy Moss talking about WV.

It was some time later but didn't Purdy spill the beans that what turned him off on 'Bama was their all world coach didn't even know his game?

I would suspect that they have their recruit presentations well scripted, memorized and rehearsed by now.

They just don’t count on the HC not picking up his copy.

No surprise Purdy would actually notice details and make an intelligent, informed decision. I'm sure a lot of guys are like, "Oh, wow, I got an offer from Bama!!! Where do I sign???"

Alabama is a good program that has put a lot of players in the NFL. Jett will make the decision right for him. I hope he stays with ISU. I think he has an opportunity to see PT with Manske and Moberly down the line as the next starter.

Bama just offered this Utah kid.

Local to BYU, but the Cougars are in a hot duel right now with Oregon for California stud Ryder Lyons.

Also, Ponatoski, the Ohio QB, is looking for a place he can play baseball too.

Just informing. I wouldn’t read anything into any of this.

That was fun while it lasted lol. Hard to compete with Alabama recruiting. Maybe he'll come back to us when Alabama fires their coach in a year or two.

Much prefer guys to flip before they come here rather than after we’ve spent a year or two developing them. So if he was looking for better things, then this is the best outcome.

I'm as big of a homer as anybody but if Bama offered me, I'd be hard pressed to say no. That said, our qb room is easily one of the best position groups we have. I have faith in Moberly and Manske post Rocco.

Good luck to Jett. It's a big decision and he just decided what he felt was in his best interest
