It seems everyone hates a particular Big 12 school over the others. Some hate Nebraska. Others hate K-State.

Here are the Big 12 schools I particularly don't like starting with my most hated one first:

1. Mizzou - Pinkle is a cry baby. Basketball coach seems pretty good, but Stormin' Norman was great to razz.

2. Kansas State - Those people got a small taste of football success and it went right to their heads. I call them the "Hawkeyes of the Big 12." Now that Snyder is back, I may have to move these guys up to a tie in the No. 1 spot.

3. Colorado - Never did like the Buffs. Never did like Hawkins. Nuff said.

4. Texas A&M - I have not been to a Texas A&M-ISU football game since A&M squeaked out a win when Troy Davis was a senior. I was not impressed with their fan base.

5. tie, Oklahoma and Nebraska. No real good reasons.

7. Texas Tech

8. Texas

9. Oklahoma State

10. Baylor

11. Kansas

1. Nebraska because of the epic beatdowns they've put on us in the past and because of the obscene number of husker fans in the state of Iowa.

2. Kansas because they always win in basketball

3. Colorado - mostly due to use never being able to beat terrible CU teams in basketball on the road

4. Oklahoma - always beating us down in football, rarely even competitive.

5. KState
6. Tech
7. Mizzou
8 A&M
9. Texas
10. Baylor
11. Okie State

I completely agree here...i HATE all of the Texas schools. They are so pompous and it is always beneath them to play ISU. The worst of the 4 being Texas. I cheered very hard for Iowa when they played Texas in the Alamo Bowl.

I really don't like Mizzou at all. Colorado is probably a close 2nd.

Nebraska fans are usually intolerable, but they're not jerks and they can usually carry on an intelligent conversation. Of course, I'm sure our friends in western Iowa might disagree, but around the Des Moines area, most of the Nebraska fans I know are okay.

I haven't really had any negative interactions with KU or KSU fans, but I am looking forward to the Arrowhead game and maybe my opinion will change after that.

In a somewhat related note, my least favorite B12 athlete of all time is Aaron Miles from Kansas. Eric Chenowith ranks somewhere up there too.

I like K-State..they remind me a lot of us. Ames and Manahattan are the same town in different states. I have lots of K-State friends who are good fans as well. I've been to Manhattan several times for ISU games, never had any problems, and have always had a good time in Aggieville. Thier fans were even very gracious to me after we beat them in football in '05. I look at K-State and their success, and it gives me hope for what ISU can do.

Anyway..my most hated:

1.) MU (dealt us some really crushing losses)
2.) Colorado (worst fans in big XII)
3.) KU
4.) OU
5.) kNU
6.) aTm
7.) Texas
8.) TT
9.) Baylor
10.)OK St.
11.) K-St.

EIU. I don't care that they're not in the big12...they're always first on every list of things I don't like.

1) OU. VERY arrogant fans. It starts w/Stoops and goes down.

2) CU. Boulder is the Iowa City of the Big 12. Their fans are scum. See: any time they play Nebraska.

3) Baylor. A bunch of old money rubes. The least welcoming fan base I have ever dealt w/on the road. They stared at us like we were aliens and were very cold.

4) KU. This ranking is mostly on reputation from others. They seem arrogant, but I've never really dealt w/it.

5) Nebraska. This is purely about the epic beatdowns Tom Osborne rained down on us in the 90's. Some of my earliest memories of Cyclone football is getting throttled by NU. I think the fans are some of the nicest I've met at a road game. It's a lame pre-game, but they're good people.

6) Tech. Based off reputation. I've heard horror stories from other Clone fans who went to Lubbock.

7) Mizzou. Decent fans. Didn't get much crap from them on the road in 2005. A little bit post-game, but it was from people who hadn't gone to the game. They don't count as real fans, imo.

8) A&M. From here on it's pretty arbitrary. I have no reason to hate A&M. The fans who came up to Ames this fall seemed like good folks.

9) Texas. My dealings w/Texas fans are different than some of the others expressed here. The guys I talked to in 2007 were blown away by how good the tailgate scene in Ames was. We all knew the game wouldn't be close, but they weren't condescending about it, and were gracious guests.

10) K-State. We were treated well in Manhattan. They're a bit "redneck" compared by to ISU fans, but seemed like solid folks. Lots in common between the schools.

11) Okie State. They are the most similar to ISU, imo, in a lot of regards in the conference. Looking forward to the day I tailgate in Stillwater.

Disagree. While both towns are of a similar size and there are commonalities between the schools, Ames is a lot nicer than Manhattan. Where the area around JTS is almost park-like, Snyder Family Stadium is surrounded by sheep pastures and grain elevators. While Ames isn't bigger, or any more happening, it's a lot nicer all around town, IMO, and gives a better impression than Manhattan...

1. Nebraska, and its not close.
2. Oklahoma
3. Mizzou (crybabies)
4. Kansas (worse in bball then football)
5. Colorado
6. Texas

The rest wherever, kstate prolly used to be worse to handle but not anymore. I've always been in awe of A&M's stadium and loved the big W there on Blythes big day.

And be honest who cares about Baylor really?

Well...I'm just saying same small town atmosphere, the stadium architectures are eerily similar, and the agriculture university base is similar. K-State is by far the closest University to ISU there is in the Big XII. But... I have to admit that Aggieville is far and away better than Welch. That place was awesome.

Being that i'm a Nebraska fan, from a football standpoint as I really don't care for b-ball (either college or NBA) here it goes:

1 Colorado - has already been mentioned, by far the worst fans in all of the Big 12
2 Kansas St - their fans treat Nebraska like crap whenever NU plays in Manhattan.
3 Missouri

Other than that, I really don't "hate"/dislike any other Big 12 school.

We can gripe and complain about the Texas schools until we're blue in the face, but when it comes to football and the TV sets that the State of Texas brings to the Big 12, if the old Big 8 still existed, IMO, the Big 8 would have C-USA like TV deals with CBS College Sports.

Can't disagree with you, but unfortunately the Big 12 head honchos don't give a rip about spreading the wealth. Plus, how has the "new TV package" helped ISU? They don't get on TV a whole lot more than they did before.

The Big 10 does it right.
