Random Thoughts the 13th: Jason Takes RTT

Bird envy....have seen none.

This is a first for us. They may have been around, but I have not seen them before at the feeder. Saw the flash of red, and thought "cardinal" before I looked out there. We have lots of male cardinals that flock in our woods during the winter...and spend a lot of time calling for girlfriends in the spring!

Since putting a dog down to bury it with its owner was such a big story I thought I'd better go on the record here.

I am categorically opposed to putting @cyrocksmypants down if Riley dies!

We really do need to be mindful of Riley's wishes, though, don't we?

No worries. He hurt his back, and his cataracts have gotten advanced, which would be a $6k surgery I haven’t exactly been saving for.

My orioles are pissed at me. The squirrels have figured out how to get to those feeders and ate all the grape jelly out of the cups & stole the orange halves. My hummers & woodpeckers/flickers/nuthatches have been VERY active, though. The smaller woodpeckers like the suet, the larger ones have been depleting our peanut supply.

Our local squirrels have been sucking up the grape jelly, too. Pisses the vixen off no end. She did manage to hit one with the pellet pistol the other night, which caused great commotion and glee. I said maybe we can hope the little $hit gets diabetes.

It’s been a mixture of things. He also has a tooth causing him pain and possible infection because it didn’t grow right from his overbite.

I see cardinals almost everyday year round to the point where I don't try to photo them in the yard. Was out in the woods this week and made an acception when I saw this female next to this running water. Ended up liking the shot.

New couch arrives the same day as Z's last day of school.
I predict a sad girl will spend a lot of time on that couch.

But, that said, she helped me pick out some fun pillows for a design thing she and I have been working out!
And so much cleaning the next few days to make all this work. Probably only about 3 hours of work, but so much cleaning.

Why do Mexican restaurants serve food on plates that are about 1000 degrees?

My favorite Mexican restaurant brings your fajita meat,peppers,and onions out on a cast iron skillet sizzling it is soooo good. There taco plates and other stuff are just served on plates at regular temps (food warm, plates cool)

Which is your favorite? In FD, the only Mexican place we go to is Hacienda Vieja (in the mall, next to where Penney's used to be). It's fantastic. If you go, have Raoul make you one of his "Perfect Margaritas". The vixen loves 'em.

I don't have the fancy camera stuff Boxster has, but my fee fees are hurt nonetheless...
