Random Thoughts the 13th: Jason Takes RTT

I’m helping usher at tonight’s opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics Iowa summer games in Hilton, and while I’m always in awe, there was something quite impressive tonight.
Following the regular introductory items like Star-Spangled Banner, pledge of allegiance and welcome from Ames mayor John Haila, came a short series of video clips:
Jamie Pollard, Matt Campbell, Steve Prohm, Kevin Dresser and Bill Fennelly all spoke directly to the athletes, welcoming them to Iowa State and wishing them good luck.
You should have heard the cheers! To be honest, I’m not sure many knew who our wrestling coach is, but that will change, I’m sure.

Wonderful event. Worked in the industry for little over four years and while it was work there were brief moments that made it so worth the 50% pay.
I used to volunteer at the games while I was still working. I should start doing that again.
Im sure somebody just showed up and placed a bunch of drugs and alochol on site. Wonder if they left him the stripper poles.
That house would have been destroyed by the end of the night. I imagine installing the poles did some damage if they actually drilled and screwed the fixtures in place.
I wonder if the homeowners insurance would have paid for the damage considering they rented it out.
I just looked at the LinkIn notice I got. I then looked at who they thought were people I should connect with. I saw this mutual connection quite often that seemed off so I looked and have no idea who she is, but she does have a lot of attractive friends. So, I left her as a contact.
