Thanks for the info.

Also, if it’s Otz then Pollard hasn’t learned a damn thing from the Prohm disaster. It’s a re-tread of a minimally experienced coach that recruits well but hasn’t actually proven to be a good coach or program builder. Familiarity and comfort level are not acceptable reasons for JP to hire a coach. It’s lazy and dumb when there are many better candidates.

Who are the better candidates in your opinion?

If we're going to beg a former coach to come back it should be Fred. Greg has become a better coach at Creighton, but he's had his chance here.

I don't think we would beg him to come back. But maybe he's quite interested in coming back to Ames on his own accord with no begging needed.

Didn't McDermott at ISU have similar issues to those that Prohm has (but perhaps not to as great of an extent)? He reduced Craig Brackins' offense to a turn-around fade-away.

The next coach who comes to ISU needs to understand that the Big 12 is a physical league. You are going to have WVU, BU, and TT beating on you, and OU and KU will not be slouches in that area.

I’m sure just calling Chris beard for his top assist would be fine by me. He recruits, teaches toughness and worked his way up.

Well Villanova is pretty physical, and has talent, and could win another title - and was taken apart today

Couldn’t fig out how to post the actual video, so made a gif.
And he made it to the first “T” in State when the clock hit 20.

To name a few

Porter Moser
Craig Smith
DeVries
Casey Alexander
Nico Medved

Each has shown the ability to build, have some midwest flavor, and can coach. This will be a lengthy rebuild and it’s so damn lazy to just hand the keys to Otz.

got to kick the tires on thad matta at least. probably won’t happen but he could excite tha fan base just by his hire

And the former coach now at Creighton makes his team play defense. Have you watched Nebraska?
