I will always support and enjoy constructive discussion around things going right and things going wrong, never getting too hyped or too down along the way. I never fall for the hype of a 9 win FB season or expect to only win 4, usually falling right in the middle based on info and gut.

What I do hate is the constant blaming of refs for everything as if every single one of them is out to screw us. I also hate those that do nothing to support the programs but sit on their couch and question the heart or effort of our players or coaches.

I don’t blindly support anything, but when we’re barely into the start of the season with half our team out and playing 4 freshmen that are giving everything they have, I will defend them endlessly. Similarly, when a coach has proven he cares about ISU, is great at recruiting, and has done everything we could ask of him - all while doing it the right way - I will push back on those that blindly criticize everything he does.

Losses are tough, but if you only look at the glass completely full or completely empty, your life is pretty much going to suck and you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Respectfully disagree. I can think Prohm isn't the guy for the job, but think the world of Campbell. Hope many of us don't live and die with each win and loss. Similar to life, we have a right to think someone is under performing. No doubt these kids are trying and Prohm cares, but so did Rhoads. Doesn't mean the job is being done correctly. Opinions are interesting if they are well thought out, no matter the side.
I do agree we need to do without foul language and name calling.

I gave you a thumbs up, but I do believe that bad calls at opportune moments or combinations, CAN and DO affect the outcomes of games, both for and against my team. You have to be Great to have it NOT have any affect on your team. And my team is not Great too often. Really good sometimes, but not GREAT.

First half seemed worse than the second actually, ISU was the more aggressive team in the paint and on the boards and I think Arizona had two fouls at half. You don't see that very often.

Seems like depth and 3 point shooting had a lot more to do with the loss but the officials certainly didn't do much to hurt Arizona.
at the half, ISU had 7 fouls, Zona had 6 (albeit one was with 3 seconds and non-shooting on their end of the floor)

I also think most of the time people are just venting or finding reasons/excuses for the loss. It is human nature. We all love our team so much we can't fathom we just lose because someone else was simply better. Especially in close losses where we feel a lucky bounce going the other way could have just been enough to make the difference.

Things that hopefully will come along as the season goes on.

-Halli's floater. Who will stop that aside from a helping big?

-THT getting the ball late.

-Shayok maybe passing a bit quicker. Tends to dribble a lot, which may have contributed to his fatigue later (besides playing his ass off--what a pick up).

-All freshman getting better on defense. Couple of times they just simply got out of position on drives and kick outs.

-Return of Wiggs, Lard, and Young goes smooth and the full team can hit the ground running.

I’m just not sure how you can judge him with 4 guys out. Even if we just had the 2 injured guys things would be different.

I’d like to know what rationale, concrete reasons you have for thinking prohm should be fired.

No doubt this is truth. That is what makes sports so interesting. The "Bad guys" wins sometimes. If you're a clone and Lions fan like me, happens the vast majority of the time...but everything happens the way it is supposed to. Lucky bounces don't happen, it's science the way a ball is released and takes 3 bounces and goes in the hoop. We do need to accept those kinds of things rather than think luck is involved, but I digress...

How’d it even come up? I can’t wade through this cesspool.

Prohm likes Jesus. So naturally someone thinks he’s preaching it to the players forcefully.

There's no way steve is forcing people to go to church. it's just not.
It's hilarious that there some posters actually believing this. Prohm is smart enough to figure out how to put his shoes on the correct feet. Therefore he is smart enough to know he'd be fired immediately if church attendance was a team rule punishable by suspension.
