ISU is 3-2 through the start of big 12 play in a stretch where I thought they might come out 1-4.

This is a good team, and the schedule is going to lighten up a little bit. But only a little.

Iowa State is in great shape right now.

Also the best offensive player is a Freshman still figuring things out. This team will go as far as his game progresses IMO.

Just wanted to note: in the first minute of the game, TCU bringing it up court and lost it off his foot. TCU guy nonchalantly walked over to grab the ball. Keshon ran and dove, tipped the ball over to Milan who tied it up. Possession to ISU. Gotta love the effort and hustle this team gives.

TJ established a culture from day 1. I believe he built his roster that first year with guys who would play hard above all else. He probably passed on some guys with more talent to do so. It’s paying off.

And are about the group over the self.

Sure, Hinson is a good talent but Capel looked embarrassed last night after he jumped up and taunted the Dukies post-game.

That was called a Flagrant 1.
Yep, my mistake. They didn't go to the monitor so at the time I thought it was called a regular shooting foul.

Fran F was really giving it to the refs for not reviewing it for a possible Flagrant 2 and I assumed he meant F1 there.

Just rewatching the game. With just over five minutes left, TCU guy got into the lane. They passed him the ball which he fumbled. Scrum for the ball while in the lane. Finally got it and got it to a teammate who scored. I counted at least six seconds in the lane. How can a official miss that long a time in the lane when he's scrambling for the ball?

Three second violations are so rarely called that they should almost get rid of the rule. It's basically a shock any time it's called.

Now, if there is a loose ball in the lane that results the excess time that shouldn't be called. But yeah, the enforcement of this rule is rare, though it's significance has waned with the "death" of the collegiate.post game

We don’t like players jumping up on tables on the road now??

Just can't exhale once we get past the meat of the schedule, as easier is relative. The back half of our schedule would be one of the hardest in the Big 10.

Thinking back on this game, I wasn't tallying or anything but it seemed like there was less trapping than usual or at least it wasn't as aggressive.

Last comment on this one, but the announcers really didn't seem to give ISU much credit when it came to TCU turnovers. They were criticizing TCU all game about it, but spent very little time acknowledging that our defense had a whole lot to do with it. They kind of acted like TCU was out there dribbling balls off their foot or throwing unguarded passes into the stands.

On the women's side they have called quite a few this season. Heck, Addy Brown was recently call for three seconds when she was in the lane about two!

Possession. The three second count is only while the player's team has possession. Once it was a loose ball there is no longer a three second count.

Very accurate. I'm glad it's working out for Blake and Pitt, but he was not a fit for Otz Ball or TJ's coaching style. He's turning out to be a pretty good player but maybe not the type of player TJ is looking for with his culture.

He had a nice game at Duke, very nice. But jumping up on the scorer's bench afterwards and taunting the crowd, maybe not the best move.
