Agree this win is huge for our resume for the human committees because I think TCU is a really good team. As far as the analytics are concerned though this win is not much different then a close loss.

Great win. Huge for resume and tournament aspirations.
Although the variance in play from TCU contributed, the intensity and toughness required to win on the road, let alone get up 20 well into the second half is something we’ve missed for most of two decades.
Effort and toughness can only take a team so far though, particularly against good teams that will eventually play “their game” too. That’s where the analytics having minimal movement is valid.
If we get to a place in which we are better able to hold large leads, we’ve fundamentally improved to a level of the top tier. Those teams in which there isn’t such regression to the mean, they’re just better.
