Okay,

So the wifey and I need to be able to see each others calendar that each has setup in their user profile of Windows.

I have Googled "sharing outlook 2007 calendars", and while MS says you need an exchange server, other search results point to 3rd party apps.

Has anyone had experience or can recommend a 3rd party app (or other solution) to this situation?

While I am not against using the Internet Calendar Sharing MS has, I just prefer she doesn't have to register a Live account.

Would you be against setting something up on an old machine inside your home network?

Would you consider switching to Google Calendar? It's slick and easy to share calendars.

I have a gmail email account, she has a yahoo email account .... would that work?

There might be an app out there that lets you do that, but you could just register her a "dummy" Google account, and she can just use it for Google Calendar.

I love GCal.

We use Plans - A Good Web Calendar at work for a shared calendaring system for stuff that doesn't make sense to keep in Outlook.

It runs very well for what it is on apache and I think can be run (with some extra work) in Windows.

it is not a way to share outlook calendars and does not (as far as I know) sync between them.

If you're looking for the latter, google calendars with a gmail account might be the way to go.

Register for a just a google account. She can still use her yahoo email address to do so. There is a difference between a google account and a gmail account.

Google Calendar is great. My wife and I use it.

You can create a extra pst file that contains the calendar. Then share that between the two of you.
