Lets shoot our wad to win by 25-30 instead of 15 so we can be extra tired on a short turnaround.
It's the bipolar nature of any message board. Mainstream, common sense views do not generally draw attention and further posts, making oddball posts look more prevalent than they are. Consider post like this the yang to the "ISU=Kentucky" thread's ying.
Are you new here or something?
Meh.the internet/message board excuse - that never gets old
Despite Melvin's tremendous game was the lackadaisical effort from the rest of the team yesterday. I think after the emotionally draining OSU game, you could kind of see it coming against TCU. A few of us in the stands even remarked how they were just going through the motions. Going to need a better effort in Morgantown. I have no doubt they will.
If the players defending Kane got the Georges treatment, Kane would shoot 112 FTs a game.
I wasn't mad by any means, but was reminded of the movie Semi-Pro, when towards the beginning they would make a basket, then celebrate at halfcourt, and you could see the other team behind them getting an easy transition layup. I thought of that towards the end when we were trading buckets.
I was also reminded of that movie when we started throwing up like 50 alley-oops. It was like Melvin's mom came to him in a dream during halftime and taught him the ways of the alley-oop. All that was missing was father Pat.

We could win the national championship, and some would find something to complain about. Unbelievable.
Guarantee TCU hasn't put up more than 40 in a half at all this season.
This. Guarantee TCU hasn't put up more than 40 in a half at all this season.
It did feel like a practice. Not in the sense that they were willingly struggling in order to work on something, but that they knew they could get through the game in mid-gear.In the 2nd half, I just felt it was sort of a practice for ISU. I had the feeling they could turn it on at any time and get the lead up to 20 or 25 points if they wanted.

No kidding. Georges gets a foul for being on the same side of the court as the other team. Guy just doesn't get any breaks at all from the refs.
This game was a glorified scrimmage at home and our guys knew it. No way they were going to blow it and they took care of business. No need to be alarmed.
MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Second-seeded Iowa State woke up just in time to shake off stubborn No. 15 Central Connecticut.
