I see James Kohler has an espn rating of 79. I know espn isnt all that accurate but that is a good sign and we must get the home town boy.

I thought Andy was his cousin?

Andy was his cousin - that is what I was getting at. Either the original poster is wrong or Hank has some explaining to do.

James is a great kid I hope he chooses ISU, but more importantly I hope he chooses a good fit for what he wants to do.

I know his dad is a huge 'Clone fan.

Bliel is from the same small town as his Dad. I'm pretty sure they were friends and teammates. I hope that helps tip the scale.

Yeah, they're a big time Clone family. I will never forget how classy it was back in the '04 Independence Bowl when Coach Mac put Andy in for the final play (victory formation) because Andy's senior year had been ended because of a torn ACL. It's a good thing it was a clean snap and no fumble because I doubt if Andy could have made the play with his knee being 2 months off of surgery. Very classy move by Coach Mac though.

Getting a couple of rangy, pass protecting tackles for down the line has to be a priority. If the staff thinks that he fits well with what they want to do, it would be great to have him.

James is a great baseball player. Definitely built to be a football player but the kid loves baseball too and he can play in college as well.

James is brilliant and a phenomenal athlete. Unfortunately he can go anywhere and with his brains, this will be a well-rounded decision, not just his heart. His Dad is one of the smartest guys I know and will help James make the best decision for his future. Believe me, I've been working James for years, but he's got every option in the world and will ultimately do what's right for him. I'll stand behind any decision he does and where that takes him. Hopefully the coaching staff have made strides. I haven't talked with James or his Dad in many months.

That being said, I have no worries of Iowa ever having a chance for him if that helps anybody. :)
