So those of you with young kids that aren't making it to Ames tomorrow, what's your strategy for the game? DVR it and get the brownie points, or tell your spouse to take the kids trick or treating?
Ames is tonight. Who has trick or treating on Saturday? That's just weird.

I'm bringing candy/treats to the tailgate lot to share with any kids who are there tomorrow.
This is true. Grew up in Ohio & we always did it Halloween night. From what I've heard, most of the country does trick-or-treating on Halloween night regardless of what day of the week it falls on. Apparently scheduling it for the Friday prior is what's weird, even though that's what I grew up with.

Grew up in Muscatine, and always figured that there was a reason that the night before Halloween was called "Beggar's Night", rather than Trick or Treat. Never wanted to be a beggar.

I grew up 2 hours away in Cedar Rapids and that's how we did it. It's only a dumb central Iowa thing to not do Halloween on October 31st. Des Moines can't figure out how to do the 4th of July on the 4th either.
