Why is it a few feel the need to fight with anyone about anything? It is getting old. Some threads turn from good topics to a couple posters fighting about some stupid detail. It is a waste of everyones time to post this crap. If you have a problem with a poster PM them, dont ruin a thread and waste others time with it. Post what you think others can disagree with you but there is no reason to take it personal. 95% of the time you are not going to change those who dont agree with you so why waste your time over and over again. As for hawk posters they are going to be here like it or not, as much as it annoys me I dont know what we can do about it. I guess they care more about what ISU thinks than they let on. As long as some post Iowa topics they will come and defend their teams.

You're right, there's not a lot of etiquette or social skills on display here at times. People learn how to respectfully disagree. Come on people, that's like a Kindergarten skill.

Either post your disagreement respectfully, don't post at all, or walk away from your computer. It's pretty simple.

It's the nature of the beast somewhat, since part of the reason for this site is a forum for debate.

The moderators can only do so much. You can do something too, by simply asking someone to take it private if it's getting out of hand.

You can send people private e-mails and I think that's a tool that's not used offen enough. Sometimes these problems are just misunderstandings and taking it private can defuse things when it's not in the open for everyone to chime in on...

I think we need to settle all of these fights once and for all. We need to pick a night and some back alley in Ames and just have whoever wants to show up there to show and and settle this fighting! I suggest we do it Beat It style, where each person will have 1 wrist tied to another person's wrist and then they can carry whatever weapon the want in the other hand. Who's down?
