Leath's worst nightmare - more VEISHA mentions. This article comes after Bubu suit was settled recently. Not a good month.

Huh? For all his talent there was no way Irving could have remained on the team after the stop sign photo surfaced. Totally different than the Bubu situation.

No way?

Was every other student who broke something during a VEISHEA riot kicked out of school?

He did block a field goal in the pre-season for the Chiefs. I think they were hoping to stash him on the practice squad as a project. Good for him.

I'm actually not sure if they kicked anybody else out or not. And was Irving kicked out, or just kicked off the football team.

I know if I had my way, anybody who participated in the destruction of property would be done, but when they hired Leath I didn't even get an interview for his job. Weird that they didn't want an 18 year old high school senior to run Iowa State.

Did you watch the video of him against the Hawks in the throwback unis? Holy smokes he would've been nice to have last year.

Kicked off an NFL talent because of his "juvenile role"....they left off that we were changing the culture of this year's team at ISU.

Trying to get away from the culture of having NFL players on the team.

Exactly what I thought. I don't blame the coaching staff; I blame David for being an idiot. He put them in a very bad position.

Good luck to him. I really hope he can make the most of his chance!

Chiefs had a lot of depth on the DL and even had to cut a good DE too. Obviously tried to stash Irving but his upside is something they wanted to keep around. A few years ago he would have been "stashed" on the active roster.

Good pickup for the Cowboys. Low risk high reward. IF it clicks for him, he will be good.

Injuries have forced the Cowboys to try to find someone to plug holes. It is an excellent opportunity because he will get a chance to plug into a pretty good D rather than flailing around with no talent around him.

On the road...
As a Boys fan this does excite me. The kid is a freak athlete. The Cowboys won't be in as much trouble on the line after the next few weeks when they get Hardy and Gregory back, but this could eventually be a nice pick up for them.

Especially after cutting his GFs hand and hair with a scissors.
