I am from Ohio, and the whole Iowa/Ohio thing was honestly never an issue there. When I first moved here and told people where I was from, I'd always get comments on how people mix up Iowa for Ohio. I was really confused. Some people are just plain old dumb.

That's pretty much every conversation I have in Indiana when I tell people where I'm from. And it's sad, because take out Indianapolis and Indiana and Iowa are pretty much the same state.

If I wasn't so proud of being from Iowa, I would just make up a different state when someone asked me where I was from just to avoid this reoccurring conversation.

My favorite was telling someone I went to Iowa State and she said, isn't Iowa where all the potatoes are from. I told her "that's Idaho".

Now comes the funny-stupid part. She answers me back "Yeah but they're right next to each other.":twitcy:

There are really very few football or basketball announcers that I would consider highly professional, in that they actually research the teams they talk about so they can speak with intelligence about them. I'd put Herbstreit for football and Bilas for basketball on that list.

That's just crap that they are supposed to be experts on College Football and they call us Hawkeyes. It is really disappointing as Fowler has brought us up numerous times this season and tweeting about us after the UCONN win, you would think we got it right. But lets hope the phrase "any publicity is good publicity" holds true.
