Way up there
I don't think this will be a problem...one of the more exciting things about him, in my mind. He must have many contacts within the "recruiting coaches" circle. Probably some enemies among them, but he's probably very familiar with a lot of these guys and may be able to lure a good one to our p5 school (with a top 10 roster, which makes recruiting in the future a little easier).

He wont be the lead recruiter though, I'd like to see him bring someone in that has no ties to the areas he recruits. Basically with TJ, we'd already have a pretty solid Wisconsin connection. I'd love to see an east coast guy like Matt A or someone who can get us into the Chicago area recruits. Located where we are, having established recruiting grounds in Wisconsin, Michigan, Chicago and the east coast, we would be set.

If it is Nick Nurse, what do people think about his ability to coach our team to a national title this coming year?

I have thought about this the past couple of days, but considering that our team could be a top 5 team, which would people rather have. Would you want a coach who could have ISU win a national title, if it means they fizzle out in a couple of years, or a coach who maintains a long term sustainable winning program, getting to the NCAA tournament, 20+ wins every season, but not enough to win a national title or get to the final four?

Just so everyone knows, the dude who just said it's Nurse has 3 posts.

The first saying "Nick Nurse is our next coach, book it" a few days ago.

The third saying "It's all over but the announcement, Nurse is our coach."

The dude just wants Nurse to be our coach. Has nothing to do with Nurse actually getting the job, or even getting an interview.

Haha. Yea it's only the busiest airport in the country.
Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world if you measure in number of passengers. For pure number of flights, I believe Ohare in Chicago took that lead back, even though it isn't in the top three in the world in # of passengers.

They're not mutually exclusive, but you take the ship while you can.

Maximizing next years roster could be the key to keeping the momentum going. I think Nurse is a gamble longer term than some of the other candidates. His ceiling seems higher to me though. Plus I want the instant gratification of an E8+ run as a proper sendoff to the Hoiberg era. I'm really warming up to this Nurse idea.

No real reason. No one has heard anything in days so people are just making stuff up. Maybe the brunch bloody Mary was a lil extra stuff this morning. All I know is I could use some extra vodka in mine. , .

Did I miss something? Why is everyone so sure it's Nick Nurse now?

Well Nurse would certainly be a surprise IMO. He's a pretty damn good coach...he runs a wide open run first...3pt shot offense and he's a decent defensive coach as well. A few more years as an NBA asst and he likely would be in line for a Hc gig. What he did within the NBA D league was nothing short of a miracle given all the departures, imjuries. Etc.. They had during his tenure. He knows TJ well too and a Nurse/TJ staff would likely be an outstanding recruiting staff not to mention any other new staff members.

of course all this is prob just rumor as usual.
