Anyone else worried for 2016-17 and beyond? Cupboard looks pretty bare. We lose Hogue and BDJ this year. Our Junior class this year is loaded with Niang, McKay, Naz, Nader. Morris might go pro before he becomes a senior. Would've been nice to redshirt Naz his freshman year to balance these classes.

Assuming Morris goes pro early, that leaves Thomas, SDW, Cooke, Custer, Darien Williams, the Greek, and Kourtlin. That's banking a lot on massive improvement from our existing guys, and landing some major talent in the transfer market. Just seems like we whiffed on the 2015 class by only signing 1 guy in Williams. I know we're probably reserving schollies for transfers, but it's probably safe to say we may have a transfer or two of our own that frees up some schollies, so was keeping those scholarships free really necessary? Considering we have someone transfer out every year. Bluford and Percy last year, Okoro two years ago, Railey and Sledge three years ago, etc.

So am I crazy to be a little worried for 2016 and beyond? Or should I just trust Hoiball.

Another beer thread?

Can't you opt out now?

But to answer the OP, no. I kind of feel like we've been over this enough now with Coach Hoiberg to go ahead and trust that he's going to put a decent product on the court. I kind of feel like he's proven his worth to this point. Now, he has to prove he isn't doing a great job.

Yeah. I am pretty worried. Anyone that says otherwise is lying to themselves. Our last couple recruiting classes have been subpar. We need something this year.

In two seasons, a team of Thomas, SDW, Cooke, Custer, Williams and Tsalmpouris alone probably would be borderline NIT as it is. (Jackson will be done w/ eligibility by 2016-17.)

This is assuming Fred brings in no freshmen and zero transfers in the next 18 months. Is there a rumor Hoiberg is going to kick back and take it easy in the next couple of offseasons, and I didn't realize it?

You are assuming our current underclassmen will not improve at all in 2 years and that Fred isn't going to recruit any more players to play for us in the next couple of years and that Fred won't bring in anymore transfers, right?

Not remotely. Plenty of time to fill any holes with talent.

Out of curiosity's sake, anyone know what talent we wouldntve known about for this season in November 2012?

Nope. I will say if they get rid of the grad transfer rule we may be in trouble. If we don't get our top targets I could see us taking two transfers. Have them sit out next year. Then they'd be able to go in 16
