Those reporters are all afraid they (and\or their organization) will suddenly have no access if they ask those questions. No access means no material means they can't do their jobs.

It’s a problem in many media organizations, but it seems to be particularly bad in sports.
And it is only kept alive by sports reporters who don’t realize they are in the news business before they are sports reporters. A good question to ask (keeping with the law laid down by the SID) is “why are we only allowed to ask about the game?” And see what the response was.

the fact that Miller can “laser focus” about a game, A GAME!, and not think about his role in the murder of a human being is sad.

We see a prime example of sports media control at ToE. I'm guessing bama takes it to an even highet level...if that's possible.

Too bad Hlas and the Gazette didn’t approach Ferentz’ latest fIasco that way.

This whole awful story and the way the University of Alabama has chosen to handle it has made it so that my 2nd favorite team in the tournament this year is whoever ends up playing Alabama in whatever round they advance to. I used to like Nate Oats. Not anymore.

NCAA gave Alabama a pretty crap region as well so this story is going to continue into the Final Four most likely.
Look maybe Miller didn't know anything about what was going on but it just seems suspicious. He says he didn't see Miles text about bringing the gun but how believable is it that an 18 year old kid wasn't constantly checking his phone?

I guess the most revealing thing about this atrocity to me is how inept and weak the NCAA has become. Wasn’t the SMU death penalty for paying players? Now, nothing happens to a basketball team complicit and aiding and abetting the murder of a woman.

the bar is so low at places like Alabama. disgusting.

ISU would be cleaning house if this was handled this way. the second the team started to 'move on' from this instead of dealing with it, fire everyone. this isn's a PR battle. this is felons being put on your campus by your AD. sure gamedays are fun, but who wants to send their kids to school in an environment like that?

I hated picking them to win games but their bracket isn't hard and for whatever reason you know that because of all this they will somehow win the championship and have no consequences for their actions. Would love if they get upset early though.

unless schools punish themselves nothing happens and the schools know that.

its the same accountability as in the current political environment. the playbook is to just punt the issue down the road and hope that it disappears in the next media cycle.

thats "AP SEC Player of the Year/Suspected Felon" to you. ******* gross

See you just need to be able to separate their sporting accomplishments from their off field antics. It's down south they are good at that.

The NCAA has always been weak, but in the past they were never challenged. Now schools aren't afraid to challenge them in court.

Which program embodies the SEC more?

A. Alabama and the fallout/coverup of a murder

B. Ole Miss and hiring a guy that was fired a couple months ago for domestic abuse

C. All of them, including Texas and Oklahoma

What doesn't make sense to me is that they exchanged texts about the gun during the whole thing. I have a hard time believing Miller knew nothing despite what Nate Oats wants you to believe.
