I didn't understand the end. What did the sniper shoot the extremis guy with that deactivated his powers but didnt kill him?

The one scientist guy (Fitz?) was up there with generic action team member so I assumed he had worked out an antidote at the last minute. I believe they had shown them packing up some sort of dart rifle on the jet, so I'd guess that's what he was shot with. No idea why he decided shooting the antidote into his forehead was the best delivery method though. I assume they just did that to fake everyone out for a second, but it just made it confusing.

I wasn't overly impressed but I'm going to keep watching. I think there is plenty of potential for it to be great sooner than later.

Werent they talking about some sort of paralyzing weapon earlier in the episode, when you first meet Fitz/Simmons?

I'll keep watching. I think they had to do a lot of stuff in the pilot to try and get the non-Marvel fanboy ABC base on board. With that out of the way, I have high hopes for the next few episodes.

I liked it, made me miss Heroes. And by Heroes, I mean the first 2 seasons not the last 2 that were ruined by the writers strike.

Haven't watched it yet, but with Joss Whedon involved I don't see how it could be bad.

There was the nice inclusion of Ron Glass (Shepard) from Firefly in it.

So am I making this up or is there an underlying mystery about how Coulson was brought back? I swear they were hinting at it. Like maybe even he doesnt know.

Yea, I got the impression in the early bits that he may be a clone or robot and not realize it.

Coulson did seem... "off." Something about him doesn't quite add up.

If that's how they meant to play it, that is some superb acting.

I thought lastnights episode was the best so far. Loved how they introduced Graviton and hope they use him more than just a wink wink type character.

Oh and.....

This was the only good part of last nights episode.

I thought last night's episode was pretty damn good. Especially the above-mentioned GIF. Saw our first glimpse of an actual Marvel universe Super-Villain in Graviton. Love the format of the teaser at the end of each episode. Nice shout-out to the movie franchises.

Ill be curious as to how much they want to push in the show. Graviton was a big charactor, to take him down they needed bigger characters like Thor and Hulk, however, I dont see them bringing them to the small screen.

You could do the actual battles between the heroes and super-badguys off screen and only show the lead up and aftermath on tv. Plus, I think the new Thor movie comes out in November right? Coincidentally that just happens to be a big tv month. I wouldn't be surprised if Thor shows up in November around the time that movie opens as sort of a cross promotion.

Exactly my thinking. Maybe a cameo or two. I mean we've already had Samuel L. Jackson and Colbie Smulders cameos and we're only 3 episodes in.
