Boats and hoes for me.

Brock will probably do something to make a big positive difference in the world. Also good.

Such great news for Brock and very well deserved! We can ***** all we want about QBs being overpaid, but he's making market value.

Also kind of crazy to think about the luck that he needed to get here. If he gets drafted by a different team, maybe he doesn't get in that first year or if the team isn't as good, etc.

At least now the “talking heads” on ESPN have something more to talk about than how S. Sanders got screwed over. Now they can ##### how Brock got over paid because of the talent around him, and not mention the poor OL play.

The hatred for BP really gets to me. I don't get it.

Most casual fans just can't get over the fact he was a 7th round pick. They'd rather pay a guy like Trey Lance that money because all they see is "talent" and not production.

I get BP isn't tall and can't throw the ball 85 yards off his back foot or run a 4.3 40. But none of that **** really matters.
Honestly, the same stuff was said about Tom Brady his first few years. I'm not saying BP is TB. But guys who don't have the WOW measurables never get credit from fans. It shouldn't bother me but it does. I'm glad the 49ers front office sees what value BP brings to their organization.

Brock is not the most athletic QB, Not the fastest. not the most elusive, not the strongest arm, not the tallest, etc.... But he does get results. He is a winner, his teammates believe in him and he deserves the $.

The naysayers and talking heads can go pound sand.

I think part of it stems from the fact that people doubted him during his initial successes, and just can't stand admitting that they were wrong, so they have doubled down again and again (cough cough Cowherd)

Mostly agree but I would argue that he is one of the most elusive quarterbacks out there. His acceleration is elite.

Brock was 1st team All Big 12 and Fiesta Bowl MVP his junior season. 2nd team All Big 12 his sophomore and senior seasons. Brock Purdy won awards for stellar play at Iowa State. The scouts and front offices ignored it all. They Ignored what they saw on the field. Only 6-1. Can’t throw 80 yard rockets. Ignore the fact he throws accurately with timing. And shows a pocket awareness and escapability. Brock and 49ers struck a fair deal for all. Which fits Brock’s character.

Pro sports fans will always be enamored with measurables and potential. They get super invested in the draft, which is insane behavior to me. I do think it's bizarre how many fans and some of the media are enthusiastically cheering against him. Is it just because it's the 49ers? Jealousy? He's fun to watch, is a model citizen, and a self aware, likable guy, yet fans can't wait to tear him down. In conclusion, NFL fans suck
