If someone thought Brock would stay away then they dont know Brock.
Absolutely agree. Brock is team first, second, and third. Of course he wants a lot of money and guaranteed before the season, but it's not in his DNA to "hold out".

I love that about Brock. I also worry though because 1) their OL sucks ass and he's going to be running for his life, and 2) they've lost a ton of playmakers so his productivity and stats are likely to go down quite a bit, reducing eventual compensation.

Nice little shoutout if you listen 20:20 to ISU and the program we have.

I was all set to be a Purdy Niners fan, I'm beginning to wonder if he should get traded to play somewhere that will give him a line to play behind.
I don't follow it close enough maybe the injury returnees will give him good protection this yr.
Good to see Kittle resigned.

Give them Trent Williams back and another year of Puni and he’ll be fine. Their D was atrocious lady year. If they could get a stop/make a kick they likely make the playoffs even with their offensive injuries.

I don't think he should get traded.

He's got a great set up there with Shanahan/Lynch

Let's see, Brock Purdy has:
  • the highest career QB rating among all active QB's in the NFL
  • taken the 49ers to the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl in his first three seasons
  • saved Shanahan's job
  • saved Lynch's job
  • revitalized Kittle's career so he's now the highest paid tight end in the NFL
  • allowed Brandon Aiyuk to break out and become the 5th highest paid wide receiver in the NFL
Yeah, I think the 49ers need to pay him at least $50 M/yr.

Testifying
Florio on XM just predicted $45 mil per year in a structure similar to Kittle.
I don't know the details of that contract.
