I picked Bateman b/c "obvious" but I'll be completely unsurprised if it's Pleta, as Euro guys often come in without the recruiting media hype of American and AAU kids and turn out WAY better and more mature than expected.
A good way to adjust your expectations is to watch teams like Duke, Florida, Auburn, UConn, etc., and not just B12 teams, during the year, but esp. in March.
I plead guilt to any "Final Four" talk in Jan. or Feb., as a 40-yr. Clone fan, @ a program that hasn't even sniffed an Elite Eight in decades.
And with NIL, it looks like "Never" might be the reasonable expectation.
Correct. Insanity is the same outcome from "we are who we are" rigidity thing over and over.
The "Bell Curve" analogy with T.J./Staff is right on. This "marine boot camp" strategy for a long, long season is college b.b. is open to question.
What's weird is that you have a selected list of teams right on the tippy tip of your tongue in order to refute the 'logic' of what I posted as purely my gut feeling about our team.
T.J.'s half court offenses have struggled, esp. late in the season, every year he's been here.
Chief problem IMO, no "the guy" who can create his own shot late in the shot clock.
Yes. I don't watch UNI that much either, other than if they make the tournament, but it's what I suspected was the case. Which still remains a mystery to me now, but one that T.J. and staff need to resolve, even after Milan comes back.
