Wish Milan had made his open 3s. Would have been a different game. Would have been up by 12 or 13 in the first half and they wouldn’t have snagged the momentum.

Got their asses kicked. Not surprised they lost with Tamin's health and no KG but to get boat raced...ugh.
Really missed KG's perimeter defense tonight. It probably would not have made a difference in the final outcome, but would have made Misses guards a lot more uncomfortable.

Giving up 96 and 91 in 2 of the last 3 games when it really mattered might be the most disappointing part of this whole season. Missing shots is understandable. That defensive effort, even with injuries, cannot happen.
Big pieces of the defensive engine were injured. In a few years we will find out why one of the injured folks couldn’t even travel with the team.

Some good times with this team. With the craziness of the NIL landscape, it’s worrisome that we might not see even this level of success for a good while.

There’s a specific point in time where things started getting off the rails and that point in time is momcilovic going out.

Yep. And although they brought up Gilbert's injury, I was waiting for the announcers to acknowledge that. Didn't happen...oh well.

And yet it is 1 of only 2 years in our entire history where we won a conference championship.
And yet ISU is most remembered for losing to a 15 seed

You can still win conference championships, you cannot remove that stench. Unless you get a 1 seed and lose to a 16

That's definitely a worry in this era.

I feel like its a real possibility that the window for ISU to have that one great season may be closing, if this wasn't it.

If you thought we were anywhere close to Duke, Houston, Auburn or even Alabama before the season even then you need to have a chat with yourself. We had a chance to be up there with some breaks, we had the wrong kind of breaks.

While very possible, it's also equally possible it only recently opened too.

So there's positives and negatives to the shifting landscape honestly. It's fair to be concerned but I also think pessimism is probably unnecessary.

We mostly had the offense to replace his production but the D took a big hit and never really recovered when he was out.

I'm pretty sure this is a thread that I need to stop posting in.

On to next year. Just a hard loss.

This was a good ISU team.... once ISU got hit with the injury bug, ISU was just a .500 team. It happens in sports... it's unfortunate.
Entertaining season but felt like it could have been so much more. I won’t say disappointing but more frustrating. Especially when we don’t exactly know what next years team will look like. Oh well, in TJ we trust
