Scout is out on us defensively....and offensively for that matter....have to totally break it down and rebuild it in the offseason. We have fallen behind schematically.Giving up 90+ in 2 out of the last 3 games isn’t ideal.
Really missed KG's perimeter defense tonight. It probably would not have made a difference in the final outcome, but would have made Misses guards a lot more uncomfortable.Got their asses kicked. Not surprised they lost with Tamin's health and no KG but to get boat raced...ugh.
Big pieces of the defensive engine were injured. In a few years we will find out why one of the injured folks couldn’t even travel with the team.Giving up 96 and 91 in 2 of the last 3 games when it really mattered might be the most disappointing part of this whole season. Missing shots is understandable. That defensive effort, even with injuries, cannot happen.
There’s a specific point in time where things started getting off the rails and that point in time is momcilovic going out.
People remember conference championships too, especially regular season.I’ll start with they didn’t flame out in the first round of the NCAA tournament against a 15 and a 14. The tournament is what people remember.
And yet ISU is most remembered for losing to a 15 seedAnd yet it is 1 of only 2 years in our entire history where we won a conference championship.
That's definitely a worry in this era.
I feel like its a real possibility that the window for ISU to have that one great season may be closing, if this wasn't it.
While very possible, it's also equally possible it only recently opened too. That's definitely a worry in this era.

They won't. Teams don't shoot 60 percent when defended well.Ole Miss will be tough to beat if they shoot like tonight.

They won't be defended that poorly either.True. But they won't shoot like that again for the rest of the tournament.
To an extent, but the ceiling of this team dropped significantly in the CU game when Gilbert was hurt. There’s a specific point in time where things started getting off the rails and that point in time is momcilovic going out.
Entertaining season but felt like it could have been so much more. I won’t say disappointing but more frustrating. Especially when we don’t exactly know what next years team will look like. Oh well, in TJ we trustThis was a good ISU team.... once ISU got hit with the injury bug, ISU was just a .500 team. It happens in sports... it's unfortunate.
Gilbert and Lipsey are our best perimeter defenders. Which is huge when u get to big games and ability to pressure the ball.Pretty crazy that in our last two losses we gave up more than 90 points after having one of the best defenses in the country all yeat.
Well said, best post of the nightIf you thought we were anywhere close to Duke, Houston, Auburn or even Alabama before the season even then you need to have a chat with yourself. We had a chance to be up there with some breaks, we had the wrong kind of breaks.
