Has there been any talk of improvements with service at the concession stands? Even before covid it was miserably slow, but the last couple of years it has been just awful.
Think the biggest issues has been getting enough people to want to actually work at the stands. Hopefully they were able to get more workers this season.

When I was in school most of the stands were staffed with volunteers from different student organizations. Such as ROTC cadets etc. Wonder if that is still the case.

When theyre charging what they are maybe they should try paying more.

FB, MBB, WBB, VB, Wrestling and gymnastics for sports. Stephens Auditorium, Fisher Theater. Throw in the constant conferences at Scheman and it's closer to 90% than 10%.
Okay maybe I exaggerating with 10% but it's not full 90% of the time. We do fine with the parking we have now but I understand we're hopefully going to have an entertainment center and will need to replace parking just sad we're covering everything in asphalt.

I think a number of the concessions are staffed by volunteers fundraising for different organizations. I doubt staffing will be much better this year given how everyone is still struggling to find employees in just about every sector of the economy.

Damn, @Cycsk , appreciate those pics!
Really hope there is plenty of grass tailgating area in B1. We assumed there would be when we picked it, but wonder how close the trees are to the parking and if the grass areas are flat.

It is a bit ripped up now close to the parking lot, but the edge of the pavement doesn't come right up to the sidewalk along Lincoln Way. There should still be some good grass areas along Lincoln Way and Beach Drive.

Are they actually landscaping the hillsides? Or does that end at the border of the walkway?

Not sure I understand your question. All hillsides are landscaped. The sidewalk in the photo is just above the hillside grass.

If so, they shouldn't be. This is big business and shouldnt be run like a high school concession stand.
I would say this is fairly common. I worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a volunteer a couple of times. I also know parents that have worked at other D1 stadiums for fundraisers. I expect it is hard to hire people to work concession stands during games even at a decent wage. I would say the key is to make sure it is a really good fundraiser for groups and advertise it.

I know I worked them a couple times for this reason when I was in College. I didnt know if they still were, but I figured they were.

If waiting in line for concessions is the biggest thing to complain about, then we have it pretty good.

The lines at Vikings games at US BANK stadium are just as bad (if not worse) and the cost of food is double.
