Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

I alluded to it about 1700 posts back when talking about the Trib article, but I think, particularly with all the Fred rumors, it’s worth thinking about 1) who is leaking this info, and 2) why? Fred/agent trying to get a raise in Lincoln? Fred/donors trying to force Pollards hand? Boosters trying to undermine the AD? I think there are a few possibilities that make more sense than others, particularly when the CF staff seems to feel pretty strongly that he will not be back.
This isn’t some far off, largely random or unconnected candidate. Info is to be had much easier without nefarious intent or motives.

There’s interest. The money aspect is feasible. Why is it passed on, and not just Fred calling Jamie directly and both sides not saying a word? For one thing, that’s not SOP for any current coach to express interest. Second, without first knowing donor support there’s no point. Right there you have two leaks. And Fred having interest will get around, quickly.

Some of that may be at a certain level to keep Jamie accountable after 2015 and 2019

Lutz is Special Assistant to Hoiberg. Fred should turn the X’s and O’s back over to Lutz. Fred hasn’t been a Winner for Years.
Lutz was on Hoiberg’s staff for one year at ISU and that was in ‘10-‘11, Fred’s first and worst year. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about..

Steve Leath forced the hiring of someone other than TJ. Prohm was the second choice. Bryce Drew was the first offer. He turned us down.

I knew that Drew interviewed but didn't know/remember he was the first offer.

I wonder if he'll get a second look?
Drew failed at Vandy in a short time but it is a very tough job and he does have the name, MW ties and recruited there at high level. Jamie already liked him once and has Grand Canyon tied for 1st in the WAC after one year.

Associate Head Coach from 2010-2013 was TJ Otzelberger. He was in charge of game planning and scouting opponents.

I know that.. We weren’t talking about TJ we were talking about Bobby. You made the claim he was the man behind the curtain.

He was the first year. And others have had that role since for the most part. Point being that Fred has historically relied on others.
